Microsoft is almost ready for the second generation of Surface Hub, and it appears that the company has prepared a lot for the release. Microsoft announced the device on Tuesday and we were able to learn about some of its features and specifications.
Design
It appears that the new Surface Hub will be smaller than the previous one, and it will weigh less as well. According to Ryan Day, a Microsoft spokesman, the company made some adjustments when it comes to the design of the giant tablet. The weight of the device will be between 25 and 35 kilograms.
Impressive display
The display will be a 4k plus one, that will have a 3:2 ratio. If the previous Surface Hub impressed us with its display, the Surface Hub 2 has its surprises as well. For example, you will be able to mount four Surface Hub 2s next to each other. This means that you will be able to create a massive video wall, which is something that can change the way we use it.
The Surface Hub 2 can also be used on a rolling easel stand, which makes it very easy to use and move around. In an office, this new addition can change the way meetings go. If you are tired of the classical whiteboard, the Surface Hub 2 can replace it and bring everything you need in one place.
When it comes to conference calls, the giant tablet is ideal for Skype, as this was one of its original go-to apps. Surface Hub 2 managed to evolve even more, and, according to Microsoft, it will be an important element of the “intelligent edge”. The Surface Hub 2 will also be an essential tool for teamwork, as it enables “immersive collaboration”.
