Good news for the users of Xbox One: Saints Row 2 became available via Backwards Compatibility! Larry Hryb, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live, made this announcement at the beginning of May on Twitter. It is a big relief for fans of GTA 5, since unfortunately, their favorite game is still not available on the popular console developed by Microsoft.
The problems for the fans of GTA 5 started when the game developer, Rockstar, decided to release the new game not for Xbox One, but for its predecessor Xbox 360. This move was viewed as a purely business-driven decision, which was supposed to maximize the profit of the company. This was not received well by the gaming community. Many Xbox 360 users who purchased GTA 5 admitted that they bought it again after upgrading to Xbox One. Those who still have the version for Xbox 360 will have to wait for GTA 5 to appear in the Xbox Backwards Compatibility program, but it looks like this is not going to happen in the near future.
However, there is some good news for the disappointed fans of GTA 5, since a similar game, Saints Row 2, joined the Backwards Compatibility program, therefore becoming available for Xbox One. This video game is being described as having many similarities to GTA, but at the same time it lacks a realistic design and it is probably not as good as the former when it comes to the setup. According to various reviews of Saints Row 2, the game developed by THQ has a comedic tone, sometimes even ridiculous, and definitely funnier than Grand Theft Auto. Evidently, it’s a great choice for those who enjoy both action and laugh, and now you can enjoy it on your Xbox One.
