Honor has decided to start this month with enormous enthusiasm. While today the Chinese tech company holds an event in Spain for the launch of a new handset, at the same time, Huawei decided to upgrade its Huawei Honor View 10 device to the new Android 9 Pie. Here is what the new Google OS version brings to Honor View 10.
Additionally to the update of GPU Turbo a couple of weeks ago, the Huawei Honor View 10 also got the new Honor Play update, capable of improving the gaming performance by up to 60%. Now, the Huawei Honor View 10 will get Android 9 Pie update. Thus, the smartphone would receive some exciting new features to boost user experience.
Huawei Honor View 10 technical specs
The Honor View 10 boasts a 5.99-inch display with a res of 2.160 x 1.080 pixels, while under the hood it packs a Kirin 970 processor and 6 GB of RAM. Its battery is a 3,750-mAh one, and the smartphone comes with 128 GB of internal storage.
As for the cameras, Huawei Honor View 10 boasts two main cameras, one with 16 MP and the other with 21 MP in monochrome. The selfies camera, on the other hand, is a 13-MP one with an aperture of f/2.0.
Honor View 10 to get Android 9 Pie updated
The update to Android 9 Pie comes with EMUI 9.0 and is offering new features. It is not specified if we will see any particular changes related to the GUI, but at least we know the improvements that Android 9 Pie itself brings as it is a new experience of navigation by using gestures, support for notch customization, quick adjustments, redesign of the volume control, and advanced battery management with support for artificial intelligence, among other features.
The Android 9 Pie update has started to roll out today for the Huawei Honor View 10’s European market. It could still take a few days to receive the update, but, in case you want to check it yourself, you can go to Settings -> System -> Update software.
