The new version of software iOS 12 was recently released by Apple and is taking in consideration to fix the bugs users have noticed in the final build. However, users and concept designers have already started looking forward to the next year’s iOS 13. The iOS 12 best features focus mainly on performance and stability, boosting speed and reliability on older iPhones and iPads. The iOS 13 is expected to bring new concept and possible changes in the software.
iOS 13 will not be announced until WWDC 2019, which will take place in June and the prolonged beta testing phase in September 2019 estimated by the pattern Apple has been following for the last few years.
Jacob Rendina, concept creator has posted an iOS 13 concept video on YouTube that features some practical changes users would love to see in the upcoming version. The new features are linked to an improved multitasking on iPads and the ability to run two apps side by side on the iPhone XS that will match their giant screen sizes.
The iOS 13 concept has an upgrade in privacy for apps, which will allow the user to lock them with a password or fingerprint. It will also come with a new version of Notes app that allows you to ass notes right on the home screen. On iPads, a new Dashboard would be combining the Control Center and Notification Center.
In the video, the new software comes with a multi-user support that allows people to log in on different accounts on the same iPhone or iPad but each user would only be able to access their own photos, contacts and apps.
The Dark Mode is a feature added from macOS Mojave and seeing it in the video looks awesome and from Android the concept Always On Display.
But we have to be realistic that these concepts might not make it to the final iOS 13 even if users demand it.
The iOS 13 is rumored to focus on iPads since last year iOS 11 was all about it and this year iOS 12 largely focused on iPhones. An upgrade and update Files app and a home screen redesign, since a lot of the screen is unused is expected for iPad.
According to Mark Gurman, Bloomberg contributor, the next software will have the ability to work with multiple windows in the same app side by side and a home screen redesign is also considerate and is reportedly titled Springboard.
The rumors claim that an Apple Pencil improvement will happen next year, but this is a bit unclear on how Apple would to that. Also, it was rumored the debut this year of the new Project Marzipan, that combines the APIs of its desktop and mobile operating systems, but it seems to be delayed as Apple wanted to focus on performance and stability of iOS 12. This project allows developers to create a single app that would work across iPhones, iPads and Macs.
Since Apple is a member of Emoji Consortium, the iOS 13 is expected to bring tons of new emojis such as the ones Emoji Consortium potential emojis released for 2019. These emojis include a variety of skin colors, hot and cold faces, hair options, more animals, a lab coat, new footwear and new food items.
