Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus boasts one of the most powerful cameras in the smartphone industry. Now, according to an announcement made by the South Korean tech giant, a new update brings many improvements to the selfie camera on Samsung Galaxy S9. Thanks to the latest patch, the selfies camera on Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus can now take better shots.
As reported by Android Authority, the new update brings the following features, besides the enhancements it brought to the selfie camera:
- Improved performance – front camera
- The brightness of faces in backlit conditions has been improved
- The security of your device has been enhanced
- Overall stability of functions improved
It appears that the new update released by Samsung improves facial exposure when images are captured under bright, backlit conditions. The latest patch, for example, helps users take photos of people sitting in front of bright windows.

The new Samsung Galaxy S9 update rolled out yesterday, January 14th, 2019, and it’s also boasting the latest Android security patches, that besides bringing improvements to the selfie camera to help users take better images than before.
In other news, Android 9 Pie would roll out to Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, as well as on Note 9, across Canada in the following few months. At the moment, Android 9 Pie is available on Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus devices in Germany, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Poland, and more.
As for the new Samsung Galaxy S9 update, the South Korean tech giant warns that some of the features “may differ depending on your device model, country, and service provider.” Samsung added that “to get the best from your device, please keep your device up to date and regularly check for software updates.” The patch has just been released, so it should reach users soon.
