A crowdfunded project is working on setting the media and Elon Musk straight.
As the news about Bitcoin’s significant environmental impact is piling up, a group of investors and supporters joined the discussion to defend the biggest digital asset via a crowdfunded, FUD-fighting documentary.
The news was initially announced by Brad Mills, an investor, podcast host, and Bitcoin fanatic, on Twitter. The movie aims to work as a “definitive” argument regarding why “Bitcoin Will transition the world to renewable energy” quicker than the world’s governments.
I found the filmmaker (@jamie_jk) to make the definitive short film on why Bitcoin will transition the world to renewable energy faster than governments.
It will only cost $20-30k for a professional mini-doc on BTC energy FUD.
I will put up $5k in, who’s with us?#GreenBitcoin https://t.co/7MSPTUlArP

Mill picked Jamie King to direct the movie. He is very reputable for STEAL THIS FILM – a documentary series regarding how BitTorrent and one of the freshest examples of a crowdfunded, free-to-share effort.
King claimed that the narrative about Bitcoin’s energy usage drove him to join the project.
“The idea for this new project, which we’re raising funds for right now, came about as a result of the increasing amount of attention being paid to Bitcoin’s energy usage.”
He also mentioned how the news came to a head with Elon’s statement regarding the fact that Tesla won’t be accepting BTC as payment for the time being, but it’s also a piece of “FUD” that repeats occasionally and persistently more intense.
The future of crypto is uncertain now, as it seems, but the movie may shed some light on the subject.
