WhatsApp holds the title of being the world’s most popular chatting app, and there’s a good reason behind that. This app offers a plethora of premium features that make it easier for people to communicate and this is why it has been downloaded by millions of users on Android and iOS smartphones. To make things even better, WhatsApp is always improving through updates and a brand-new one has just arrived.

WhatsApp 2.18.210 beta Update

The latest update for WhatsApp changes the app’s version number to “2.18.210” and it can be downloaded through the beta program. With that being said, the update is currently exclusive to WhatsApp beta testers who want to get their hands on the latest features and software tweaks ahead of everyone else.

What’s New?

The update focuses on improving the groups feature that WhatsApp offers. Therefore, the new update makes allows admins to select a special option which makes it possible only for admins to send messages in that group. In addition, non-admins will still see the messages that appear in the group chat and respond to them in private by tapping on the “Message Admin” option.

Official Brand Groups

The reason why WhatsApp’s developers have added this feature is quite simple, WhatsApp is looking to make it possible for brands to create groups and inform customers about upcoming products. Not just that, but this new feature can also be used by all types of groups where people only need to read announcements and not chat.

WhatsApp Beta Program

As previously mentioned, the new update is exclusive to beta testers. On the bright side of things, enrolling in the app’s beta program is not too complicated and everyone is welcomed. The only thing that beta testers need to do is provide the developers with feedback.
