Firefox vs. Opera Mini – Which One Is Better to Download and Keep?

Google Chrome is considered as being the best mobile browser in the world, but there are some downsides to it. Google Chromes uses up lots of RAM power and this makes smartphones lag. Therefore, choosing an alternative such as Firefox or Opera Mini might be the best thing for people who love surfing the web on their smartphones.

Today we are going to pin Firefox and Opera Mini against each other and see which one comes out on top. The reason we are doing this is to give readers and idea which browser is more suitable to replace Google Chrome.

Opera Mini

The most important thing about Opera Mini is the fact that it’s a lightweight app. Opera Mini has been carefully developed to not use large amounts of storage space and this makes it ideal for smartphone users. In addition, Opera Mini features a built-in adblocker which goes hand in hand with the browser’s special data saver system which reduces the amount of mobile data users consume on average.

Firefox

Unlike Opera Mini, Firefox is a bit larger in size and this is giving the developers more room to move around. Therefore, Firefox ships with more features than Opera Mini such as the highly useful built-in reading mode which removes everything from a webpage that isn’t text. Not just that, but the reading mode also removes ads. Moreover, Firefox features HTML mobile video support which means that Firefox users will be able to watch all video formats.

Final Words

We should also mention that both browsers are completely free, but there is a difference in the quality of the services that they offer. Firefox has the upper hand in this brief comparison because it offers a plethora of features while Opera Mini is perfect for people who are looking to save storage space and mobile data.
