It was the 6th of August when Google announced the release of Android 9 Pie. In spite of all of these, only a few gadgets will get the OS by the end of the year. Truth be told, there are many users who are still waiting for Android Oreo to come to their devices.
The next version of the OS will probably be called Android Q, the 10th version of it.
When’s the release date?
There was only one time they announced a new version of Android earlier than the 6th of August, and that was in 2012. We don’t think this is the case for Android Q. We expect to see that the Android Q will make its appearance somewhere in March, while the first public beta will come in May.
What kind of desert to we get for Android Q?
We know that Android 9 P is called Pie, so what do we know about the Android Q? Because of the letter Q, there are not many foods to choose from. Quinoa Pudding? Quesadilla? We only have to wait until they announce it for sure.
Will I get Android Q?
We’re not sure yet. As an unwritten rule, midranges and premium phones get about two major OS updates. But that’s not necessarily the case here. Let’s take a look at OnePlus, which promised to do a third major OS upgrade for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. They first came out with Marshmallow, and now they have Oreo.
If you want to get Android Q, you’ll need to buy one of those $700+ mobile phones which have the pre-installed Android Oreo. But Treble could make it work for more midrange (like those smartphones from Nokia) with a pre-installed Oreo OS.
