MP3 Streaming Server in Windows – Top Tips on How to Make One

In case you have a collection of MP3 audio files on your Windows PC and you would like to start an MP3 streaming server on your computer, then you should know that you can use the 1by1 directory player, which by the way is completely free. The interface of 1by1 is very easy to use so you shouldn’t encounter any problems.

We will show you what are the steps you need to take in order to stream MP3 files using the 1by1 player:

  1. First of all, you will need to download and install the 1by1 music player on your computer.
  2. Once the tool is installed on your PC, you need to open it and then go to the folders from the left side of the window which have your MP3 files. Once you do this, you need to play one of these MP3 files.
  3. The next step is to press the F6 key and open the 1by1 settings window.
  4. Now you need to select Control à HTTP Server from the left side categories that can be found in the settings window.
  5. Next you have to choose an IP address for the HTTP server. The way the IP address will look like depends on your network configuration and router settings.
  6. The last thing you need to do is to select the checkbox called Enable/start HTTP server, as this will start the control and the streaming server at once.

After following all these steps, you will be able to access the 1by1 control server from any web browser in a remote way, simply by entering the IP address and port just the way you have done in the step 5. This will allow you to remotely start or stop the music whenever you want or to change the volume of the music and even to skip from one track to another.
