PC Don’t Recognize Adobe Flash Player on Internet Explorer Fix

What’s the first name that comes to your mind when you think about your favorite browser? This is a common question and most people would answer that Internet Explorer suits all their needs.

However, the search engine is losing field in favour of Chrome and Firefox. This shouldn’t surprise us, because a part of Internet Explorer 11 users have reported that the browser fails to recognize Adobe Flash Player. This unpleasant situation happens despite the fact that they updated the software on their computer and enabled the latest Adobe version in their browser.

How to make the Flash Player work when the software is not recognized by Internet Explorer

Experts say that you can fix Flash Player mal-functionalities in 4 easy steps:

  1. The first thing you should do is turn off the ActiveX Filtering in the mentioned browser;

When the ActiveX Filtering is enabled in Internet Explorer, Adobe Flash Player is turned off. If you switch ActiveX off, the browser will start recognizing Adobe Player again. Here is how you can disable the Filtering on Windows 10:

  • go to the Tools button and open the menu;
  • select the Safety category and check to see if the ActiveX Filtering is deselected. If it’s not, perform the operation yourself.
  1. The second possibility is to add websites in the Compatibility View category;
  2. Another helpful method for solving the mentioned issues will be to register the Flash.ocx file again;
  3. Re-setting your browser is one of the most accessible ways to address Adobe Flash Player mal-functionalities. The procedure is simple:
  • click the Tools button from Internet Explorer;
  • go to Internet Options category and click on it;
  • once you’re there, choose the Advanced Tab from the Internet Properties window;
  • click on the Reset button and restore the browser to its initial settings.
