Surface Pro 5 Expected Release Date, Price and Specs

The last time a Surface Pro product was released was back in 2017. While it appears unlikely that a new device will be launched this year, there are many users who seem to believe that we might receive a surprise launch.

There are plenty of rumours related to a possible release of the Surface Pro 5. Since the next device will be the sixth generation of the series, it is also likely to get the Surface Pro 6. Some sources revealed that the Microsoft is currently developing a new Surface Mini.

The expected release date

While fans are hoping for a 2018 release, many users believe that it is unlikely to receive a Surface Pro this year. Experts seem to believe that the next Surface Pro device will be launched early or mid 2019. However, the fact that there will be a Microsoft press event on October 2 caused a lot of speculation online.

Price

Usually the price of the Surface Pro products is similar. At an event that took place in Shanghai on May 23, it was revealed that the price for the Surface Pro will be $799 in the United States and £799 in the United Kingdom. However, if the Surface Pro 5 proves to be a successor of the Surface Pro, we might get a higher price.

Specs

There are plenty of rumours when it comes to its specs. For example, if we get the Surface Pro 5 in 2019 there is a big chance that Microsoft will use the Intel Whiskey Lake processors, which would be a major improvement. Additionally, the Surface Go might finally replace the entry-level Core m3 Surface pro, which is something that would make us happy. There will probably be no changes when it comes to the ports of the device.
