Apple Purchased Shazam, the Renowned Music Recognition App

Apple purchased the popular music recognition app Shazam making it easier for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users to find and enjoy the music they love. Once the acquisition is completed, the Shazam app would become ad-free for everyone to enjoy it without any disturbance.

With hundreds of millions of downloads on App Store and more than 100 million on Google Play Store, Shazam is the most famous music recognition app in the world.

Shazam helps users find their favorite songs by simply letting the app “listening” to the music surrounding them. Once Shazam music recognition app identifies the song, the application will reveal the artist’s name, the song’s title, as well as other essential details, such as the album on which the track appears, and other info about the singer.

Besides, Shazam also operates as music, video, and printed documents sharing platform.

According to the latest statistics coming from Apple, the Shazam music recognition app has been downloaded by more than 1 billion times on all platforms and, on a daily basis, users identify songs with the app by about 20 million.

Just recently, Apple announced the purchase of Shazam, the popular music recognition app which is available for iOS and Android, as well. Thanks to this acquisition, the Shazam app would now be ad-free for everyone who wants to use it to identify and/or share music, videos, and documents.
