Download WhatsApp Status Videos On Android And iOS

A few months ago WhatsApp added a new feature: WhatsApp Status. The concept behind it is not a new one, and it can be also seen when it comes to SnapChat’s MyStoy and Instagram Stories. If you use WhatsApp Status you are able to share videos or photos which remain visible for 24 hours.

Your WhatsApp status can be seen by any person that has your number saved on his or her phone. If you feel like 24 hours are not enough for you, you should know that there is a way to download the videos directly on your Android or iOS device.

Downloading WhatsApp Status video

One thing that you should know is that when you watch a status, the video is automatically saved on a hidden folder in your phone. In order to find this folder, you will need a File Manager app. Android users already have a default app for this on their device. However, if you have an iPhone you need to find a File Manager app on App Store. ES File Explorer can be a good choice.

After you get the app, launch it and go to My Files. Open Device Storage and look for WhatsApp. Go to Media and then go to .Statuses. Press More and Select Show hidden files. You should be able to see all the videos from WhatsApp Status.

Using WhatsApp Status

If you do not know how to access WhatsApp Status, simply open the app and look for its tab. You can find I by swiping left from the home screen. If you want to see a status update, just tap on it. You can reply to a status by pressing the reply button at the bottom of the screen.
