Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain to Hit the Market in 2020

First of all, we’re talking about a prototype that’s not exactly sold in the United States of America. It’s for the E-Class All-Terrain soft-roader, but the changes also appear on the regular E-Class sedan and even wagons.

This E-Class is also the All-Terrain because it has a raised ride height and also underbody protection. It has a standard all-wheel-drive system, as well, and a road-off mode that’s kind of borrowed from the SUV from Mercedes.

There are E-Class variants, and they will get a makeover together with the update. The headlights will have a similar design to the models that are found on the latest GLE SUV. This is also a way to differentiate E-Class and C-Class (which are smaller).

How about design?

Beneath the camouflage gear, there is supposed to be a new grille hidden. The taillights will come with a new graphic, which means that the front and rear fascias will also be changed by Mercedes.

However, we’re not quite sure what the designers want the cabin to look like, but we might see Mercedes’ new infotainment system there. This system has a large touchscreen that can be used just as if it were a tablet or a smartphone. The best part – it also comes with natural speak voice activation.

E-Class All-Terrain can be bought currently with four or six-cylinder diesel. We’re not sure if there are going to be additional powertrains for this car in the lineup. We first heard of this model in 2017. By 2021, according to the Mercedes tradition, we should see the update version crystal clear. This actually means that we’ll first see the car somewhere in late 2019, or even early 2020. We just have to wait and see how that is going to when it comes to local sale.
