Liang Chen, a Tencent KeenLab researcher was the one who managed to crack iPhone XS Max on iOS 12.1. He made the big announcement on Twitter, giving jailbreak fans hope once again. Nonetheless, if you are hoping to use this jailbreak for this device, you shouldn’t celebrate the news already.
We don’t know for sure whether Liang Chen is going to make the jailbreak available for the public. There are many researchers who decide not to share their codes with the public. In fact, releasing them to the public is not the most profitable option for them. They can choose to report the vulnerabilities they found to Apple, or they can sell the codes to third-party developers.
