Pokemon Go offers players the chance to catch a Shiny Meltan for a limited time only, as part of a new special event. This Mythical Pokemon, Meltan, is a unique monster in Pokemon Go because it is the only one that makes an appearance in special Mystery Box, an item the gamers earn when transferring a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee on Nintendo Switch.
“A Mythical Pokemon, the mysterious and rare Meltan only appears when a Mystery Box is opened. If you’re lucky, you may encounter Shiny Meltan when you open the Mystery Box from February 5th at 1 p.m. PST until March 4th at 11:59 p.m. PST. During this special event, the time that you have to wait before you can open the Mystery Box again will be reduced to three days. Be careful, Trainer! If you open the Mystery Box before this event starts, you will have to wait the usual time period before you can open it again,” Niantic stated on the official Pokemon Go portal.
Pokemon Go Fans Have The Chance To Catch Shiny Meltan For A Limited Time Only
Niantic reported that the chance to grab Shiny Meltan is offered to trainers as part of the new Pokemon Go special event that celebrates Lunar New Year. Catching Shiny Meltan might be tricky. To earn a Mystery Box, you must transfer a Pokemon Go monster to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee on Nintendo Switch.
Once you open a Mystery Box, a Shiny Meltan will be available in the wild but only for 30 minutes. If you don’t find one within half an hour, the Mystery Box will close, and you’ll have to wait seven more days to transfer another Pokemon to Nintendo Switch and open the Mystery Box again to have another chance to catch Shiny Meltan.
