iPhone XS Most Known Issues and Their Fixes

The iPhone XS is one of the most popular smartphones made by Apple. The device sports a vivacious OLED display, generous built-in storage space, the impressive A12 Bionic processor and a great camera.  The Cupertino company strives for perfection but some issues will always appear. Below you can find a comprehensive guide that offers a variety of easy-to-use fixes that should solve your problem in a few minutes.

The device cannot be charged

Many claim that they faced this issue when they tried to charge their iPhone XS device. In some cases the users had to unlock the device before the charging process started.

Fix:

It is likely that the issue can be fixed by updating your iOS version. Go to Settings/General/Software Update and install the latest version.

Face ID troubles

Face ID is a great security features but the initial set up process is a bit quirky.

Fixes:

  1. Try to scan your face in a room that is properly lit in order to avoid potential issues.
  2. If Face ID doesn’t seem to respond when you attempt to unlock the device try to look at the screen and it should unlock faster.
  3. Keep in mind that the device will recognize the face scanned during the initial set up process. If you change your look often it is advised to update the scan.

Slow internet speeds

In some cases data and Wi-Fi speeds may become a bit sluggish.

Fixes:

Go to Settings/General/Reset and tap on the Reset Network Settings.  Check to see if the issue is solved.

Bluetooth troubleshooting

The iPhone XS employs Bluetooth 5.0 which offers a superior experience in comparison to previous versions. In some cases it may seem that it is impossible to connect certain accessories.

Fixes:

  1. Try to disable and enable Bluetooth.
  2. Update your device to the latest iOS version.

Constant battery drain

The latest iOS update brought a new Battery Health feature that allows users to track battery usage.

Fixes:

Go to Setting/Battery and look for apps that consume a large amount of power. Close them in order to save some energy.
