That means, regardless of where you live, The Legendary Lunch Hour would take place between the same hours. The whole idea behind the event, as the name suggests, is to offer the players a chance to participate in special Raid Battles during their lunch break.

Niantic itself admits that this new Pokemon Go special event is only experimental, and the fans are free to offer their feedback on The Legendary Lunch Hour mode. If Pokemon Go players enjoy it, Niantic will run this event weekly.
