Elder Scrolls 6 Could Boast Advanced, Realistic Graphics

Elder Scrolls franchise enjoys a loyal fan base, and many gamers are looking forward to the next entry in the series. Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the early stages, but Bethesda has decided to show a few glimpses of the technology which is used for the new title and how it can mark a significant improvement for the franchise.

During PAX East 2019 Bethesda noted that photogrammetry would be employed in the development of upcoming titles. Photogrammetry is used to scan real-world landmarks and people, and the data collected can be converted to accurate 3D models which add a layer of realism.
Many have started to question Bethesda’s stubbornness to use a modified game engine which is a bit old. The latest reveal may alleviate some of these worries since it proves that Bethesda is interested in delivering new video games which look better.

It was also announced that Bethesda would use the same technology to immortalize Shirley Curry, a well-known YouTube content creator who is known as the Skyrim Grandma. She will appear as a featured NPC in Elder Scrolls 6 and players will have a chance to interact with her.

Elder Scrolls 6 Might Feature Advanced Graphics

The announcement that Elder Scrolls 6 will use photogrammetry has been well-received by many aren’t sure if they can trust the studio. Bethesda lost a lot of faith when Fallout 76, the first multiplayer title developed by the studio, was released to near-universal disdain from fans and critics alike.

Todd Howard promised that the game would provide a revolutionary experience, but the truth was a bit different. The game was affected by a large number of glitches, the content was uninspired, and the lackluster narrative setting disappointed a high number of people. Fallout 76 sales were so weak that the games were heavily discounted in the first weeks and some shops decided to offer it for free if the customer made other purchases.

It remains to be seen if Bethesda will be able to convince fans that it learned from past mistakes with Elder Scrolls 6.
