Clash Royale Receives A New Game Mode – Elixir Capture

Clash Royale was released more than three years ago, but the game has managed to build a strong fan base, and millions of people from all over the world continue to play and enjoy the title each day. A steady stream of updates released by Supercell added lots of new features, including game modes, events, and cards.

How to access the new game mode in Clash Royale?

Fans of the game will be happy to learn the popular game has received a significant update, with the major highlight being a new mode. The feature was teased during a Clash Royale TV episode which showcased Trophy Mode. Dragon Hunt, Mega Deck, and Earthquake, a brand new card, were also shown in the video.

If you want to enjoy Elixir Capture, you will have to upload the app to the latest version, 2.7.4 (the update was released on April 30). Check to see if the app is updated before you attempt to look after the new mode. Once this task is finished, go to the Events tab and tap on Elixir Capture.

Tips for the new Clash Royale game mode

As the name may infer the main objective of the mode asks players to collect Elixir. An Elixir Storage is placed in the middle of the Arena. If a player manages to destroy it, he or she will collect 2 Elixir. The Elixir Storage is protected by one shield for each player. The one who manages to break through the shield first will get the extra elixir. The additional Elixir will offer an advantage against the opponent.

While the game is quite popular among players, some complaint about the fact that there is a limited number of free attempts. After the limit is reached, players have the option to pay with gems if they wish to continue. Clash Royale is available for free across Android and iOS, but players have the opportunity to purchase gems with real-world money.
