Solution 1: Disable Battery Optimization
Some UC Browser users were able to resolve the download error simply by disabling battery optimization and then restarting the download.
Here’s how to do this:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on Apps & notifications.
- Expand Advanced and then select Special app access.
- Open Battery optimization
- Select All apps.
- Find UC Browser, tap on it, and tap on Don’t optimize.
Note: You can delete the download file and then re-download the file again.
Solution 2: Clear UC Browser cache and data
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on Apps & notifications.
- Open All apps.
- Locate UC Browser, tap on it, and then select Storage.
- Clear Cache and Data.
Solution 3: Rename Expired Link
This method involves renaming the halted download file and then initiating the download process again.
Here’s how to do this:
- In UC Browser, go to Downloads.
- From the list of downloads, tap on the file that won’t resume, and then copy the download link.
- Open a new tab in UC Browser and then paste the download link there. This will prompt you to download the file again. You can use a new file name for the download file.
- Pause the download after downloading up to 400KB of the file, and then close UC Browser.
- On your smartphone, go to File Manager > UC Downloads folder.
- Now, copy the old downloaded file that halted with the .dltemp extension to a different folder on your File Manager.
- Now, copy the name of the newly download file which was paused and then delete the newly download file. Also, rename the old downloaded file that halted with the copied name of the newly downloaded file.
- Repeat the same process for the .dltemp file.
- Afterwards, launch UC Browser and continue the download process.
