Xiaomi Poco F2 Price, Specs, and Release Date

Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Poco has unveiled its flagship smartphone named Poco F1 back in 2018, and it left great impressions. The tech company is expected to release its successor, the Poco F2 soon, and we are curious if the upcoming device will be as well received as its forerunner.

Numerous leaks have invaded the internet ever since the Poco F2 has been announced. The type of processor that will power the Poco F2 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The smartphone will have 6GB of RAM and 65GB of storage options, and also 8GB of RAM, 128GB and 256GB storage variants. To raise the level of the competition, Xiaomi may also design a 10GB RAM version.

The upcoming device will have a 6.3-inch FHD+ notch display, and a 1080 x 2340 screen resolution.

Poco F2 Camera

The Xiaomi device might come with a triple camera array. Also, these options might also be available:

– Telephoto sensor and normal RGB

– Regular RGB and Monochrome sensor

– Telephoto and Wide angle

–  A powerful megapixel sensor and a regular RGB sensor –  this array to be used for a mixt zoom

A leak claims that the Poco F2 will come with a triple camera array of 48-megapixels Primary, 8-megapixels Telephoto, and 13-megapixels Wide-angled Sensor. All these enhancements will give a considerable improvement to the smartphone.

Since AI is now the most loved improvement, you can anticipate some impressive camera features such as object detection, and progress in AR integrated into the camera.

Poco F2 Software

The device’s software is a lower variant of MIUI, carrying numerous features for the incorporated app drawer. Some AI integrated into the UI, which will keep the device working as smooth as you first acquired it.

The Poco F1 is assured of receiving the latest updates at an accelerated pace, and then Xiaomi’s front-runners. But this remains to be seen as this lowered variant of MIUI is still atop Vanilla Android. In other words, the updates will be accelerated but not Android One-kind of quick.

Poco F2 Battery, Price, Release Date

Xiaomi usually buys an ample supply of 4000Ah batteries each year so the Poco F2’s battery will be the same as Poco F1’s. The company also redesigned the fast charging system.

The price of the Poco F2 will be a slight update from the Poco F1’s price and should come with a cost of about $320 to $399, and the 10GB of RAM version would carry a price tag of $420 minimum.

The Xiaomi’s upcoming Poco F2 will be released in the second quarter of the year 2019, and it will be first made accessible in India (which is its leading market), Hong-Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, and other Asian markets.

Asus Zenfone 6: Specs and Price – What We Know So Far?

The upcoming Asus Zenfone 6 has officially been unveiled, and the new prototype is way more nonconformist than the Zenfone 5. The smartphone comes with a rotating camera where the top bezel was.

The entire device also shows a switch in target for Asus, which appears to be driven to design its niche in the device space and not copying Apple or Samsung. Where a typically hideous bar or a strange-looking hole-punch at the top of the device, the front of the Zenfone 6 is a consistent area of screen, looking impressive, even though the usual bezel still exists on the bottom.

What is important to mention is the fact that  Asus is keeping the price tag the same: the regular model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage cost is about €499, similar to the less impressive Zenfone 5.

The camera is quite amazing as well, with the rotating camera which might appear strange at first, but it is, in fact, a great and intelligent solution to the bezel problem.

The Asus Zenfone 6 comes with two lenses, a 48MP primary camera and a 13MP wide-angle lens that can be utilized for group selfies as well. The camera uses a customized stepper engine to flip the lenses around 180 degrees, allowing it to function as both front-facing and rear camera. Asus also implemented an automated system which detects if the phone is dropped, which will flip the lenses back.

The camera also has some smart features: the ability to take panorama captures by holding the device and allowing the camera to flip. There is also a motion-tracking option for video that enables the camera to change to keep the subject in focus at all times.

Besides the three models of the Zenfone 6, which start at a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space for €499, the company also plans to deliver two other models, finalizing with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage device.

The devices are powered by Snapdragon 855 processor, a Gorilla Glass 6 and aluminum carcass, a 5,000Ah battery and the specs mentioned above.

The launch date for the Zenfone 6 has not been announced yet, but it is expected to appear sometime in the next weeks.

Adobe Creative Cloud Finds Itself in a Rather Unpleasant Situation

Adobe, the software popular company and the developer of the iconic Photoshop app, has placed in a somewhat unpleasant situation. Adobe has been announcing to its users that they might be the risky position of being prosecuted by third-party application developers if they are still utilizing earlier versions of its series of Creative Cloud applications.

Adobe said in the message to the Creative Cloud users to ‘be aware that if you continue to use or deploy the older versions, unauthorized versions of Creative Cloud, you will not have the third-party claim coverage pursuant to your contract with Adobe. Should you continue to use or deploy these unauthorized versions, you may be at the risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties’.

The Creative Cloud is a massive subscription platform which comes with both photo and video editing applications, and facilities which include Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, and more others. The Creative Cloud platform is available to use on Android and iOS devices, Windows and macOS.

Just last week, Adobe has announced that it won’t allow subscribers to get older variants of its Creative Cloud apps anymore, excluding the last two most recent versions. The company did not say why the older variants of the Creative Cloud will not be available anymore.

The fact that Adobe announced that by using Adobe software, the users could still face lawsuits from other companies and Adobe can do nothing about it is kind of perplexing. To realize that the Adobe app you’ve been regularly paid for is not actually owned by Adobe is even more shocking.

The Adobe Creative Cloud subscription is not that cheap either: the photography plan for individuals goes up to 10 usd monthly, and the variant with 1TB cloud storage is 20 usd per month. There’s the alternative to subscribe to individual apps also, and that will cost 22 usd monthly, but if you enlist to all the apps, the cost is 50 usd per month. Businesses plan costs 32 usd per license for individual app enlist, or 77 usd per month for all the Creative Cloud app license.

Adobe has released a statement concerning the matter on News18 and it says: “Going forward, Creative Cloud customers can download only the two most recent major versions of Creative Cloud applications. This change enables us to develop the features and functionality most requested by customers and ensure peak performance across all Creative Cloud apps and services. We always encourage our customers to use the latest version of Creative Cloud to have access to the latest features, optimal performance, security updates, and other benefits.’

WhatsApp Spyware Hack: What to do if you think your phone was affected?

WhatsApp said recently that a major security breach allowed hackers to install spyware on some users’ phone by calling them through the application voice call. It could be installed whether or not the victim answered the call and once is installed the record of the call is removed from the phone. The spyware has the ability to activate a phone’s camera and microphone.

WhatsApp platform is used by 1.5 billion people and all brands of phones with both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business were affected. However, the number of infected phones is not yet known.

It was confirmed that UK-based human rights and an Amnesty researcher have been targeted. It is unlikely that your phone has been infected if you did not receive a voice call from an unknown number on WhatsApp, however, if you should be very cautious if you are working for a law firm or a sensitive industry.

In order to be on the safe side, it is highly recommended to update your WhatsApp to the latest version. Although phones get updates automatically, it is advised to check for them manually in your Apple or Google Play store, Microsoft or Galaxy app store. Another way is to simply uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp.

Updating phone’s operating system is as critical to protecting yourself as having your lasts applications version. It is not recommended to use a phone that is not supported by software updates. Google’s Pixel smartphones receive at least three years of monthly security and Android version updates while iPhones usually get at least five years of software support. All Android devices updates are dependent on the manufacturer brand.

Why are software updates important?

Because hackers’ techniques and methods are becoming more and more sophisticated and vulnerabilities are found all the time. While software makers are able to fix these security holes the user cannot get the support unless is updating the phone with the latest update.
