Bandai Namco Will Accelerate the Work at ‘Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown’

If you’ve always wanted to play Tom Cruise’s role in Top Gun, you might be thinking seriously about giving the upcoming game ‘Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown’ a try. The successor of 2019’s Ace Combat 7 is on its way, and all hints indicate that it has some amazing and immersive game magic tricks up its sleeve.

Bandai Namco still remains focused on the gaming business, although the renowned Japanese brand is also busy with creating lots of action figures, such as those from the Dragon Ball franchise.

Bandai Namco is working on Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown, and judging by the data we have so far, the upcoming game will most probably launch at some point between 2025 and 2028. Surely, it sounds like a lot of time, as perhaps even GTA 6 will launch earlier than that, but the devs still have a lot of work to do to make sure everything is as expected.

Bandai Namco established Project Aces and the Bandai Namco Aces studio

In a new move to accelerate the development of the next Ace Combat flight simulator game, Bandai Namco has established the Bandai Namco Aces studio and the Project Aces. Furthermore, Takuya Iwasaki, who is the President of Bandai Namco Aces, claims that the company’s wish is to incorporate “photorealistic expressions” for the future game. In other words, there’s a lot of work underway for Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown to be another great flight simulator game, probably the best in its series!

If you’re at least a bit familiar with the Ace Combat flight simulator series of video games, you know the drill when it comes to the most realistic expectations for the Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown game: flying around jet planes and doing your best to take down the enemy threat. Simple, right?

Ace Combat: A history of more than a quarter of a century

The very first Ace Combat game came out way back in 1995 when gaming, in general, was light-years less impressive compared to nowadays. That title came out as a launch title for the PlayStation console in North America. It was titled Ace Combat for the Japanese market.

The Ace Combat franchise usually emphasizes fast-paced action and dramatic plays using semi-realistic gameplay. Aircraft have flight dynamics controls and could stall while also being able to carry dozens of missiles in the hammerspace.

Most of the installments of the Ace Combat series have their setting in Stragereal, meaning the fictional universe of the series. The Earth present in Strangereal features totally different nations, continents, geography, and history in comparison to the real world where we live. However, it needs to be said that some nations, events, and locations are loosely based on the ones from the real world. At the same time, most aircraft based in the game series are real models with slight alterations.

The previous Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown game was available at launch for PC and the usual consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That’s because neither of the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X/S consoles were launched at that time, as they both came out in December 2020. Therefore, it’s a pretty safe bet to say that the game’s successor, meaning Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown, will be available for pretty much the same platforms. However, there might be no support offered anymore for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. With no disrespect intended for them, but we all have to admit that they’re a bit obsolete for today’s standards when it comes to gaming.

A Scam on the Facebook Marketplace Causes a Woman to Lose £1,000s

Facebook Marketplace is usually that magical place where you can buy and sell a lot of items. You can even get to buy from toys to electronics at very low prices if luck is on your side. But unfortunately, it doesn’t always happen that way, and scammers seem to be everywhere across the internet nowadays.

According to The Herald, a woman fell victim to scammers from Facebook Marketplace, which cost her thousands of pounds. Lucy Fletcher is her name, a 46-year-old woman who works as a beauty therapist. After a few messages and phone calls exchanged, she transferred £3,600 for a ready-built shipping container office.

The product wasn’t delivered

Although Lucy sent the money and even received official-looking invoices on business-held paper, the product that was bought never reached her. Therefore, the woman lost £3,600, the money paid for the ready built shipping container office that didn’t reach her anymore.

Lucy even decided to burn her old office in order to make room for the one that she bought. Her bank will refund a part of the amount, though.

The woman who got scammed stated, as The Herald quotes:

I feel really vulnerable now – this guy now has my address, he’s had a lot of my money and I’ve lost out on work, so I’ve lost business as well.

It was just how professional the scammers were – I had no reason to doubt any of it at all.

The emotional stress has been unbelievable. It’s been an absolute mess.

If I’ve been scammed – and I think I’m quite switched onto it – if other people aren’t already then they need to be more aware basically.

In the end, we must all realize that being extra cautious online is a ‘must,’ regardless of the platform you choose for your shopping.

Snapchat: What’s the New Friend Solar System Feature?

Whether you’re a fan of social media or not, you can’t deny the tremendous importance that apps such as Snapchat have in the lives of many of us, especially the very young fellows. The platform currently has about 750 million users that are active every day, and we all have to admit that the number is indeed staggering!

In order to maintain its notoriety, Snapchat obviously needs to permanently adapt and update its functionalities. There’s a lot of competition out there, and the devs responsible for Snapchat know it very well. Therefore, the new Friend Solar System feature has arrived!

What is Snapchat Friend Solar System?

Snapchat Friend Solar System is a new feature available for those who have a paid subscription on the platform, and what it does is that it gives users the chance to see who rewatched their stories. Furthermore, these people can mark those curious stalkers as BFFs.

To summarize how the new feature works, let’s just say that you can be considered the ‘Sun’ of your Friend Solar System on Snapchat. In other words, a specific friend never stops ‘orbiting’ around you.

In the new Snapchat feature, Mercury will be assigned to that special friend you share the most snaps with, meaning the one that’s closest to you. In the real world, Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, so now you can easily understand the resemblance!

Venus will obviously be the second closest friend on Snapchat, considering that we’re talking about the second planet from the Sun, astronomically speaking. On the other hand, Neptune will be the eighth best friend on Snapchat, as you’ve probably already guessed.

If you want to see the Snapchat Friend Solar System feature once you get the Snapchat Plus subscription, you will have to check out the ‘Best Friends’ or ‘Friends’ badge that also has a gold outline on the profile of a friend.

What Does ‘FS’ Mean on Snapchat?

While we previously spoke about the meaning behind the ‘Ops’ abbreviation on Snapchat, it’s now time to untangle the mystery behind the ‘FS’ expression. There’s no use being caught up in angst if someone messages you with ‘FS,’ as the abbreviation’s meaning is actually very simple to understand.

Although you might not be a social media user or addict, we all have to admit that such platforms bring a lot of joy to many people, especially teenagers. For the younger ones, apps such as Snapchat are ethereal, as they can help them socialize and keep in touch with others. A lot of people have an epiphany sooner or later, although they don’t like Snapchat, and suddenly they understand why teenagers love the app.

‘FS’ means “for sure”

Initially, ‘FS’ means ‘for sure’ on Snapchat. The expression is usually used to agree with someone on a certain subject. The phrase is somehow the same as ‘absolutely.’

However, ‘FS’ can also have different meanings on Snapchat, as social media networks work in mysterious ways! The abbreviation can also express frustration, as it can be translated as ‘f*ck’s sake.’

But that’s not all! Some of those who are selling something online (and perhaps everybody does at some point) will use ‘FS’ via Snapchat to confirm that a specific item is for sale. Therefore, ‘FS’ can also mean ‘for sale’ among those who regularly use Snapchat.

Regardless of how odd Snapchat language might sound to many of us, we need to be well aware of the fact that teenagers who are using the platform will constantly find new ways of expressing themselves through abbreviations. In other words, we constantly have something new to learn from social media, whether we find such information useful or not.

Snapchat had its initial release date back in 2011, and it now contains roughly 750 million users who are active on the platform every day.
