Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Finally Gets the Software Update from Verizon

Those of you who subscribed to Verizon and who use Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can now get the OTA updates in the software. The updated version is M1AJQ.N960USQU1ARL1 and is also the  4th update for this device that comes from Verizon. It’s been a bit since we got the last one, in November 2018.

They improved performance

Verizon has talked about the update and has said that it will optimize the overall performance of the device, while taking care of other problems that are reported by users. Besides all of these, the latest update comes with security patches and they’re also included in the update for Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The security patch for Android included things from the December update, and others are brand new, for the January update.

The instructions of the carrier

You should keep in mind the fact that, when you get software updates, you need to understand the instructions you get from your carrier. Some of them are obvious, and applicable to all the updates of this kind. But others require other instructions, like making sure your phone stays connected to the Wi-Fi at all times, since the update is large, and that you shouldn’t use your data. Also, the battery should be full for the download and install to work swimmingly. For Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it might take about 20 or 25 minutes. So you need to make sure that you have enough battery – at least 50%. There must be no distractions whatsoever when you download and install the updates.

Those on roaming have to get the update manually

Other instructions are for those subscribers that aren’t on their home circle, but on roaming. They should get the update, too, but while on roaming, the notification does not appear. So if you’re in this situation, you’ll have to do it manually.
