Google Maps on Android Auto Available with New Changes

We all use Google Maps when we are traveling when we are driving in the comfort of our car or just by foot, trying to discover new places and reach a certain destination.

We have written this article because we have some great news for you. Google Maps in Android Auto has introduced some new buttons that will help you when you’re on the route. Keep reading if you want to find all the details about it.

The changes made by Google

The Android Auto’s comprehensive overhaul happened recently. Google was working really hard on improving the interface and the system.

What we heard recently is that the navigation UI will receive some new buttons and we think that they will actually be very helpful.

The new buttons

It seems like one of the new buttons will be for alternative routes and a lot of people were happy to hear this news.

The Google service provided us only with the settings button that was placed on the bottom left of the screen. We obviously needed more options and it looks like Google was ready to make some improvements.

Now, let’s get to the point. Google introduced four more buttons and we want to tell you more about them.

We already mentioned the first new button that will be for alternative routes. We are very excited about it and we think that it’s a great option for the navigation system.

The other three are the search button, the destination button and one for the menu, a three-dot menu to be more specific.

While most of us received the new buttons very well, other people are not so happy about them. They think that the screen is blocked by them. There will always be mixed opinions about it, but as long as the company is working on improving the system, we all have something to gain from it.

Minecraft will be given a Visual Facelift with Ray-Traced Graphics

Minecraft players are in for a surprise as Mojang is collaborating with Nvidia to create better and more beautiful visuals for the game. The companies have announced that they will put into effect real-time ray-tracing in a next and, more importantly, free, update. It is worth mentioning that the update will be available for Windows 10 and the computers will necessitate special graphics for this update to work. Also, Mojang announced that the update will be available next year.

How will ray-tracing transform Minecraft?

Ray-tracing graphics is a feature that has started to be used by game developers in recent times.

GeForce RTX is going to change Minecraft in such a way that it will be revolutionary. Everything in the game will have a highlight, a reflection. For example, the gold will shine aan the light will fall softly on the ground. The graphics will be better and visually pleasing.

Here are some examples of ray-tracing graphics that are going to be implemented:

  • Genuine soft and hard shadows depending on the source of light.

It is worth mentioning that the Super Duper Graphics Pack that was an announced by the game developing company Mojang in 2017 was canceled as if proved way too troublesome from a technical point of view. The graphics pack was supposed to contain some of the features the GeForce RTX is going to have, such as fog, new textures and lighting among others.

Minecraft Dungeons To Roll Out In Spring 2020

Minecraft has remained one of the most popular video games in the world, and millions of people continue to play the title each day. The cute graphics, easy-to-pick-up, and creative gameplay experience, plus a constant stream of new content updates make it a remarkable and enjoyable experience. Recently, during the E3 2019 Microsoft panel, the company announced Minecraft Dungeons.

Many gamers may have got their first taste of a pure sandbox with the help of the original JAVA version which was released for the PC a decade ago. The game has come a long way since then, and it is present across a large number of platforms, including the PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Android, iOS and others.

Minecraft Dungeons would launch next year for Windows, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4

Minecraft Dungeons was announced a few months ago, but many details about the title remained elusive. More information was shared during the Microsoft Conference, which took place at E3. Many sources thought that the game would use a first-person perspective, but it seems that they were wrong. A short gameplay trailer showcased a top-down dungeon crawler in the vein of the iconic Diablo games.

Players will explore thematic dungeons filled with monsters and loot. The game will include an assortment of equipable items, among which we can count armor, weapons, and special items which grant a unique skill. Four-player local and online co-op capabilities were also teased, but there is no sign of a single-player mode or campaign.

The initial announcement inferred that the game would be a PC exclusive, but at the end of the video, it is mentioned that the game will be playable on Windows, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4. It will be included in the Xbox Game Pass initiative. Microsoft and Mojang will likely share more information about Minecraft Dungeons in the future.

Lava Launcher, a new defense structure

You can now stop your enemies as they advance by throwing molten rocks to them with the new defensive structure – Lava Launcher. The Lava Launcher throws lava balls which produce craters at the impact, causing even more damage to your enemies’ ground troops. Here are the stats for the new defense structure:

  • Build Time: 24h
  • Range: 10-20 tiles
  • Damage type: Area splash
  • Targets: Ground
  • Favorite Target: Any

OTTO Hut

A new charging station will come to Clash of Clans Builder Hall 9. The new OTTO Hut will be available once the new Builder Hall arrives, and players can upgrade it to Level 5 but not before fulfilling some quick tasks. Once you have updated the charging station to Level 5, you’ll have access to the new Builder Bot known as OTTO.
