Samsung Might Be Working On Its Own Gaming Smartphone

Samsung is presently developing a number of new handsets that would further reinforce its leadership in the smartphone market against rivals like Apple and Huawei. One of the devices the giant South Korean tech company is working on might be Samsung gaming smartphone.

While the details are still unclear at the time of writing, a Samsung Mobile News tweet, an informal Twitter feed that occasionally distributes information about the South Korean giant’s latest products, discloses that a Samsung gaming smartphone is in the making.

From a technical point of view, what Samsung may be considering doing is to leverage its Galaxy line-up to build a smartphone that is specifically tuned for games, most probably with a more powerful battery, RAM, and more storage.

Allegedly, Samsung is working on a gaming smartphone

At the moment some people are speculating that the Samsung gaming smartphone may be a secret Galaxy phone which would boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. It is highly possible that the South Korean tech company would also adopt technologies from other devices, such as the cooling system of the Galaxy Note 9, in an effort to deliver a seamless gaming experience.

It will also be exciting to know what Samsung has chosen for the display of this model as the curved edges of the S9 series are not the most suitable for a dedicated gaming smartphone.

On the other hand, the gaming smartphone market is increasing significantly lately, so the leading phone manufacturer in the world, Samsung, could not ignore this segment. Accordingly, a Samsung gaming smartphone would be the next logical step for the South Korean giant tech company.

A Samsung gaming smartphone might be announced next month

While it’s still early to know much about this alleged Samsung gaming smartphone, some rumors say that the tech giant might announce it next month during Samsung’s developer-only conference of November where the company would also present its Galaxy X foldable smartphone.

A 15-inch Asus Chromebook To Come Out In 2019

Asus C523 is the new Chromebook from the Taiwanese company, which boasts a 15.6-inch display. News that, if it were about a Windows or Mac notebook, would not have the same importance. But we’re talking about a Chromebook and, for that category of products, alternatives with displays over 13 inches are currently scarce. Also, a new Acer Chromebook 15 was presented during the last IFA in Berlin, but the market offers little or nothing in this regard.

That’s why the news of the announcement of the new Chromebook C523 by Asus is so exciting. The range of Chromebooks from the Asian manufacturer is expanding, and the new model is in addition to the already released C223 and C423, equipped with a 12-inch screen and a 14-inch display, respectively.

The upcoming 15-inch Asus Chromebook would come out in 2019

The display used on the new Asus Chromebook, the C523, is a 15-inch IPS FullHD, able to rotate at 180 degrees, which is also a touchscreen for the more expensive versions of the new gadget. The C523’s body will only be 15.6-mm thick. As for the connectivity of the new 15-inch Chromebook by Asus, the device boasts two USB in standard format, most likely 3.0, at the least, two USB-C ports, one of which can also be used for charging, a 3.5-mm jack, and a micro SD card reader.

We don’t know if a version with mobile data connectivity will be available, but we can tell you that the Asus Chromebook C523 offers dual band 802.11ac WiFi. Unfortunately, the specifications available to us are still quite scarce because the page dedicated to the technical features on the official website doesn’t offer many details.

Additionally, the company also didn’t reveal anything precise on the release date and prices of the new 15-inch Asus Chromebook. They only stated that the gadget would come out in 2019, initially, for the North American market.

The Best Music Streaming Services On The Market

It’s no secret that the best way to get all the music in the world you want to listen to is to subscribe to a streaming service. For a long time, talking about music and streaming was almost inevitably synonymous with Spotify. However, the market has evolved considerably, and now there are tons of such services. Now, as there are dozens of music streaming services online, it could be challenging to know which are the best ones. That’s why we put up a list with the best music streaming services.

The Best Music Streaming Services On The Market

Spotify

The earliest music streaming service online has a user-friendly interface and excellent stability, recognized by more than 83 million premium users worldwide. Spotify is also the service that works with the most significant number of platforms, also being the only one compatible with Linux. Spotify has a full ecosystem of recommendations and radios and is betting heavily on podcasts.

Amazon Music

The online e-commerce giant seeks to position itself in the business of music streaming with an additional offer to its Amazon Prime video streaming service. Amazon Music does everything right, but nothing is particularly exciting with this service.

Apple Music

Apple Music is definitely one of the best music streaming services on the market. Apple’s music service offers some unique features and content, including exclusive content, whether whole albums or programs such as Carpool Karaoke. Apple Music also provides, of course, seamless integration with all products of the giant tech company.

YouTube Music

As a complementary platform to the distinguished YouTube video streaming service, Google launched YouTube Music streaming service. This new YouTube Music is one of the best music streaming services on the market as it aims to include all the music uploaded to Youtube, expanding the possibilities of an already huge catalog.

Best Features for an Improved WhatsApp Experience

New features are being worked on for the WhatsApp messaging platform. We have previously heard about the picture-in-picture (PiP) mode and also the introduction of Stickers, but apparently, that was not enough for the Facebook-owned platform. It looks like features such as Silent mode and Vacation mode will be introduced as well so the chatting experience will be improved.

Based on Wabetainfo’s report, we can say that the Vacation mode feature for WhatsApp will offer users a better-archived chat experience. Now, this feature, when you receive or send a message to an archived conversation, it will no longer come back to your actual conversations. However, the chat will need to be opened manually from the archived section.

In addition to that, we will also get a Silent Mode feature. The Silent Mode features hides the app badge for the chats that are muted. The default is already making it available and active. Moreover, the notification count is also hidden for the chats that are in the mute mode, If you have not updated you WhatsApp yet, it means that the notification count is still one for the chats in mute mode so you will need to update your app if you want to take advantage of the new features.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has also planned to add an account linking support for the most public social media platform, which will be located under the Profile Settings.

Another modified aspect regarding the chatting app is the fact that the delete for everyone feature has also been modified. Now, the message will be deleted based on the answer it gets during 13 hours, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds window when you can change your mind.

Chrome OS To Enhance Android and Google Assistant Integration

Chrome OS runs Android apps for some time now, as it is running Android 7 Nougat as a subsystem within it. Now, since Android Nougat emerged on the market two years ago, it would be replaced with Android 9 Pie instead of Android 8 Oreo. And that’s precisely what Google wants to do to enhance Android and Google Assistant integration.

And Android 9 Pie comes with a lot of new and useful features in comparison with Android 8 Oreo. So, Chromebooks would be better with Android Pie. Even though Google still has many features to present regarding the new Chrome OS version, two further changes are noteworthy.

First, as displayed on Chrome Unboxed, the new Settings app on the new Canary channel release looks similar to what we have on Android tablets or phones. However, it seems like having a lot more dead space than in previous versions, which is not quite fascinating, but, hopefully, in the Beta or full version, the Settings section would be revamped to match the Chromebooks’ screens.

Chrome OS To Enhance Android and Google Assistant Integration

Besides the Settings app changes, the new Chrome OS version would also bring an enhanced Google Assistant integration. The Chromebook dock Google Search tab on top of the screen has been replaced with a Google Assistant bar which also reveals suggested sites and apps. Also, when you launch Google Assistant, it would open a broad window at the front and center of your Chromebook’s screen. That, instead of opening a window that hides in the corner of the display.

With this new way, Google Assistant is much straightforwardly to use, view, read its content, and interact with it.

The Google Pixel Slate also revealed a similar Google Assistant approach, so it’s not entirely clear if the new Assistant UI would eventually arrive on Beta or Stable channels for more Android-based devices, but reveals that Chrome OS system is continuously evolving.
