Ccleaner Is Not Working Correctly On Windows 10 October 2018 Update

It is clear that Ccleaner is not going through its best moments, nowadays, and everything comes from its purchase by Avast and changes that have been included, such as data collection. However, Ccleaner was the best cleaning and optimization tool for Windows and is still a popular software. Now, this application must face a new problem, as it does not work correctly in the new Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

On Tuesday night, Windows 10 October 2018 Update is reaching all users. This new version of Windows comes with many changes and many improvements both visually and under the hood. Although so far no compatibility problems with common programs have been detected after upgrading to this version, some users complain that Ccleaner is not working correctly under Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

Ccleaner can not clean files in the new version of Windows 10

Users who still use this application to clean and optimize Windows have started complaining that, after upgrading to Windows 10 October 2018 Update, Ccleaner has stopped working correctly.

When users try to perform cleanup, the program is unable to remove specific content, such as recent files, system events or registry errors, among other items. Also, the user is prompted to close Edge, even if Edge is already closed.

These problems can be seen on any computer running Windows 10 October 2018 Update and the latest patches and the latest version of Ccleaner. Luckily, the company has already found the problem and claims to be working to fix it as soon as possible with a new update.

Windows 10 Storage Sense should make you forget Ccleaner

It is true that Ccleaner has been, in the past, one of the best applications to keep computers clean of junk files or to optimize PCs’ performance in a few clicks. However, for some time now this tool is no longer what it used to be, and in addition to not being as effective as it has been once, it started collecting data on its users.

For a year now, Windows 10 has had its own cleaning tool, the so-called Storage Sense. This tool, included by default in Windows 10, in the Configuration menu, takes charge of cleaning the hard disk of temporary and unnecessary files to have your equipment always ready without having to depend on other applications. It is also useful for optimizing your PC, so, since Ccleaner is not working correctly in the new Windows 10 October 2018 Update, you have one more reason to ditch Ccleaner.

PureVPN – A Leading Figure in the VPN Industry

Privacy and security are the focal points of almost every discussion on the internet. Online users, although, show concerns about their privacy, they wrongly believe that they are helpless and can do nothing to secure it. Boy, are they wrong!

Well, there is a surefire way that can help people living anywhere in the world ensure their online privacy. That solution is a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Over the years, the VPN industry has witnessed massive growth. In fact, its growth is expected to cross $35.73 billion by 2022. The online security industry is set to touch a new high of $106 billion by the same time.

Seeing the growing popularity and the variety of purposes a VPN serves, it is imperative that we arm our devices with a reliable VPN. And, when it comes to reliability and trust, PureVPN is one such VPN that fits the purpose well.

PureVPN – Always at the top of the game

PureVPN has been leading the VPN industry for over a decade. Operating from Hong Kong, the service boasts a massive network of VPN servers strategically deployed at over 180+ locations across the globe.

There’s a reason why millions of users adore PureVPN. For starters, PureVPN is amongst the first few services that are completely compliant with the new European privacy laws, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) policies.

The VPN service delivers complete Internet freedom and privacy to its users. The service delivers complete access to over 95,000 anonymous IPs. These IPs originate from 180 different locations, ensuring not only guaranteed anonymity but also universal access to unlimited content, which is otherwise inaccessible due to firewalls or censorship.

Privacy aside, accessing geo-blocked streaming services is another great reason to go for PureVPN. The VPN service offers unlimited access to 100s of popular streaming channels that are accessible only through a handful of VPN services. For instance, PureVPN’s browser extension helps users access Netflix US even while they are outside the US. Similarly, the service can easily unblock SlingTV, Hulu Live, Amazon Prime and other streaming channels from outside the US. Perhaps, universal access is what that has garnered good ratings on many PureVPN reviews, covered by many review platforms.

A massive IP pool and highest encryption technology aren’t the only deciding factors for PureVPN. The service also boasts added features that give users unmatched control over their VPN use such as Internet Kill Switch (IKS), split tunneling, P2P, multiple logins, and more.

Evolution from VPN to Cybersecurity Solution

Although VPNs are great when it comes to ensuring users’ online privacy and data security, it can’t protect users against cyber threats such as malware attack, ransomware, DDoS, malicious traffic, etc.

If you look at the recent malware attacks statistics, you will see continuous growth in cyber attacks. In fact, according to a security survey, in the Q1 of 2017, a new malware was identified every 4.2 seconds. The same report mentioned that over 6 million new malware specimens were found in 2016

Seeing an immense need of complete online privacy and security, PureVPN took it upon itself to evolve from a Virtual Private Network service to a full-fledged cybersecurity solution.

With the introduction of Ozone, PureVPN presented a VPN that packs the best Internet security. The Ozone feature introduced by PureVPN offers a multitude of security features to protect users against various online threats. The antimalware capability included Ozone blocks different types of malware and ransomware attacks. Similarly, the IDS/IPS feature keeps malicious traffic from reaching a user’s network.

Apart from antimalware and IDS/IPS, Ozone also offers other family-oriented features that include website filter and ad-blocker.

On top of Ozone, PureVPN also features Gravity, aka secure DNS. It offers better protection and speed for users who need online security, even when the VPN is not connected.

A Stern Supporter of Internet Privacy & Freedom

Since PureVPN aims to empower Internet users across the globe to enjoy online privacy and freedom, it has always backed organizations that support the same objective.

For instance, the VPN service is an active sponsor of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit organization that fights for the digital civil rights of Internet users.

Similarly, PureVPN periodically partners with Open Media to fight for causes that support an open Internet. The VPN service ran a campaign, The World for the Web, with Open Media to stand united and fight against the Net Neutrality repeal.

Earlier in 2018, PureVPN celebrated the Safer Internet Day with the SaferInternetDay.org by initiating awareness campaigns for safer Internet practices.

Wrap Up

A VPN’s job shouldn’t be limited to anonymity or accessibility of blocked content. It should be holistic and robust enough to help users fight the various online threats that can lead to destructive consequences such as blackmailing, identity theft, cyberstalking, etc.

PureVPN is amongst the very few in the VPN industry that caters to the important needs of Internet users, and it does so with its amazing service.

Nokia 7.1 Announced Officially With A Notch and Two-Camera System on The Back

HMD Global continues its journey in the smartphone industry with the brand Nokia. Now, Nokia 7.1, a remake of the Nokia 7, is official. Unfortunately, the new model doesn’t come out with many improvements, at least, when compared with other devices of its range from other manufacturers, be them Chinese smartphone producers.

The new Nokia 7.1 comes with a notch and thin edges

When HMD started his journey as the new Nokia smartphone manufacturer, the company decided to go alone, without paying much attention to the path and trends that the competition was following. However, fortunately, they have not been slow in assuming some of the new trends as is the case of the notch and two-camera system in the new Nokia 7.1.

The new Nokia 7.1 boasts a screen that occupies much of the front side of the smartphone, only the bottom showing a thicker edge, while a notch at the top houses the sensors and terminal’s selfies camera. This display has 5.84 inches and is designed with the PureDisplay Full HD technology with a screen ratio of 19: 9, something that is already becoming trendy for the mid- high-range smartphones.

Nokia 7.1 technical specs

Checking out the new Nokia 7.1 technical specs, we observe that the new device doesn’t have significant changes over its predecessor. Accordingly, Nokia 7.1 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset as a processor and a two-camera system on its back, with Zeiss optics and 12+5 megapixels sensors. On the front, the device packs an 8-Mp selfies camera.

Also, the new Nokia 7.1 comes out in two variants, one with 3 Gb RAM and 32 Gb of internal memory and another with 4 Gb RAM 64 Gb storage space. Both models support microSD cards.

HGM Global just announced the new Nokia 7.1 but didn’t reveal an exact release date. Also, we should expect this model to cost around $300. Most probably, the handset’s price will not exceed that level.

Adobe Flash Player on Windows 7 Downloading Problems

An IT Specialist has made a post on Adobe’s forum explaining his problem with the Flash Player. He said that the Flash Player could be installed without problems on any computers besides the ones running on Windows 7. The program can be downloaded into the device, but an error message pops up every time he tries to install it. It can’t even be updated. In addition to this, the problem has been up for almost three weeks now, and no fixing was provided.

One of the other forum writers suggest that the online installation does not work because of this:

10/02/18 19:27:06:604 | [ERROR] |  | ADM |  | ApplicationContext | ValidationFailure |  | 4592 | Binary signature validation failed.

10/02/18 19:27:06:604 | [ERROR] |  | ADM |  | ApplicationContext | InstallError |  | 4592 | Error while validating installer for package ‘Adobe Flash Player’ at path ‘C:\Users\7\AppData\Local\Adobe\4E7B4803-BD2D-45D3-B2D0-FCB8B58367CC\1F1EB998-6146-4858-8 4F0-197F4BE8E502\28213067-62BC-4DEB-BF7B-178FF9C69A4A’

Some other writers also say that if the Windows 7 is updated completely, it should have the Flash Player on its own.

However, the real solution came from a more experienced user. He said that if you download the installer from get.adobe.com/flashplayer, it will get the Flash Player to be installed in the background without bothering you. However, this is only meant for single-user installations. If you want to distribute this program within an organization, you will need to use MSI and EXE which are full installers. A distribution license will also be required. This is the only solution available to distribute the Flash Player within an organization. If you want to use a distribution license go to Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe and they will provide you with one. Keep in mind that public email addresses such as Yahoo Mail and Gmail are not allowed.
