Here are Five WhatsApp Secrets you Perhaps Didn’t Know

Currently, WhatsApp is being used by over 1 billion users worldwide. With so many people using it, you might want to avoid some useless information or you might want to improve the time spent on this app. For any reason at all, here is a list of 5 WhatsApp secrets which you didn’t know before.

  1. Don’t let them know you see their messages

There are many reasons to keep you from answering a WhatsApp text. However, the blue ticks will give you away. If you don’t want to let anyone know that you see their messages, the go to the Privacy menu and turn off Read Receipts.

  1. Figure out who your friends are

We live in a world where friendship is measured in data storage. If you want to find out with whom you talked to the most or if you just want to save storage space, then go to Data and Storage Usage, then tap ‘Storage Usage’. You’ll see the rankings of your most used conversations.

  1. See when they have read your text

In a group chat, the ticks turn blue only when everyone has seen your message. However, if you tap and hold on the message and select Info you will see your desired details.

  1. Hide your pic

You might not want to let everyone see your profile pic. If you want to go completely anonymous, and then go to Privacy, tap ‘Profile Phote’ and choose ‘Nobody’ to hide your picture.

  1. Mute annoying sounds

Being part of a group chat might drive you crazy with sound notifications. But you can mute them, you know? Tap that annoying group chat, tap its name and when you see the ‘Group Info’ option appear, select ‘Mute’. You will be able to mute them for any amount of time you’d like, from eight hours to an entire year.

Spotify Premium APK Update Available to Download

You might wonder why would you need to pay for a service that can be used for free. We will share with you some reasons why we believe switching to the Spotify Premium service could be a good idea.

Why you should consider subscribing to Spotify Premium

First of all, ads are something that no one wants to see on their devices. Unfortunately, since the free version of Spotify needs to be supported by ads, which have to play quite often, there’s not much you can do in this situation not to be disturbed by ads, unless you decide to subscribe to the Premium service. This could be particularly useful if you use a smartphone for Spotify, as most of us do these days.

More than just removing the ads from the mobile app, signing up for the premium version will get rid of all the limitations that the free app has, such as the 15 personalized playlists that are chosen by Spotify’s algorithms and offered to you on the mobile app.

Another important advantage of a Spotify premium account would be the fact that you could easily download tracks to listen to them when you are offline. Moreover, the quality of the streams would be much higher when you choose the paid version.

Overall, it depends on you if you want to commit to a monthly fee or not. If ads are bothering you and you listen to a lot of music, then choosing to have a premium version could be the best idea.

What you should know about Spotify Premium APK

Since this popular app is available for free on the Play Store, you don’t need a Spotify APK, unless of course you want to have access to the premium features without actually subscribing to the paid version.

Nevertheless, be extremely careful when installing APKs, as there are always risks that come with using one. Also, don’t forget that not paying for a service that requires this, is, in fact, considered piracy, so every choice you make is your own responsibility.

The Samsung Foldable Phone Might be Back – But with a Flip

The phone with a foldable screen might be just around the corner, with one designer publishing a 3D concept of the possible Samsung Galaxy X.

The phone will be more like a phablet, with a huge foldable screen, but thanks to its foldable design, the device will be almost as pocketable as a regular smartphone. This might mean the best of the both worlds – great screen for watching all your favorite media, but a small enough size to store while on the go.

The way the designer pictured it, the hinge makes the device look more like a wallet that you fold, rather than an object that can be folded completely flat. But nonetheless, this device looks like something many people would love having in their pockets and brag with.

Existing alternatives until the launch of the Galaxy X

During the past few years, producers have been struggling to offer more screen-to-body ratio and this might just be the solution. For instance, last year, Apple was one of the mobile phone producers who made the all-screen front, with only a small notch at the very top. Some producers copied the design, with Huawei being one of the leaders of the all-screen front mobile designs.

In 2018, however, makers like Vivo made the notch-less all-screen phone with a retractable camera that just pops out of the top of the device when you need it. But those moving parts, although innovative, will probably make the phone more prone to breaking down over time.

So this design, with a foldable screen, might just be the winner when it comes to having a phone that you can stuff in your pocket, but still have more than 6” of screen when you want to do some gaming or watch YouTube videos. Unfortunately, the concept would require bendable OLED screens, which are hard to come by, at least for now.

Facebook Announced The Elimination Of Hundreds Of Fake Profiles

With less than three months to go before the US legislative elections, companies such as Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft announced the closure of fake profiles, accounts or Internet domains with alleged links to Russia and Iran. Facebook, for its part, removed 652 accounts, pages and groups considered fraudulent. Twitter, on the other hand, closed 284 accounts planned for a “coordinated manipulation,” as reported by the company.

According to Facebook, the accounts it closed were intended to spread propaganda through fake profiles. The accounts were reportedly operated by Iran and by factions related to the Russian military secret service. Hours later, Twitter announced the closure of 284 accounts.

This news came after Microsoft, the world’s largest software manufacturer, announced that it took control of six web domains that looked real and could be used to attract users and infect their computers with viruses. These domains created the impression of being associated with Microsoft services and were registered by a group of hackers also connected to the Russian secret services.

Facebook intensified its security measures to put an end to the manipulation propagated via fake profiles

“We ban this kind of behavior because we want people to be able to trust the connections they make on Facebook. We are making progress in eradicating this abuse, but it is an ongoing effort because those responsible are determined and funded,” Facebook stated.

At the end of July, Facebook already denounced an attempt to manipulate public opinion in the United States through a network of fake profiles on the social network.

Being criticized for not taking the situation of fake accounts serious, Facebook hardened its security conditions in late-2017. Meanwhile, research is ongoing, Zuckerberg said. In the United States, the main goal of the new security measures the social network adopted is to avoid manipulation of public opinion before the November congressional elections.

The activity of Russian hackers in the United States is a hot topic and the special researcher Robert Mueller’s enquiries into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections, in which Facebook and Cambridge Analytica firm were also involved, are receiving a great deal of attention, although US President Donald Trump sees them as a “witch hunt.”

Google Chrome 69 Redesign Update To Launch On September 4th

Google Chrome 69 would roll out with some changes regarding its visuals. The new redesign update will launch on September 4th, but the announcement did not present further details about the changes that would be implemented. We’ll talk about what we know so far.

Google Chrome redesign update to come with curvy Chrome tabs and Material Design

As far as we know, Google Chrome 69 would come with curvy Chrome tabs with a new Material Design overhaul, as the company announced in July. On the other hand, the release notes on the upcoming redesign update inform that some new features would also be added in forthcoming Chrome version, most of which aiming better Windows integration, security, and stability.

“Highlights include Microsoft Windows 10 notification-center integration, touchpad gesture navigation on Windows, and autofill updates,” the new release notes read.

Google Chrome 69 boasts several security updates

According to the company, the upcoming Google Chrome 69 version would include the brand new Password Alert extension to signal you anytime suspicious activity occurs regarding your Google accounts, as well as other accounts protected by the extension.

Also reported in the release notes, there is the addition of a third-party code blocker, running by default, that would stop other apps from binding themselves to the Chrome’s processes, in a measure that’s meant to reduce the number of crashes and improve the security.

Adobe Flash Player getting closer to complete elimination from Chrome browser

Once Google Chrome 69 rolls out, the update would bring Adobe Flash Player closer to its complete removal from the browser, a movement on which Google is working for several years now.

Accordingly, the new version of the most popular Internet browser on the market would ask users if they allow or not Adobe Flash to run every time when a site needs the plugin to show content.

In conclusion, Google Chrome 69 redesign update would boast new visuals, along with enhanced security features, among other exciting additions.
