Half-Life 2 City 17 Real City Map – Game Designer Speaks Out

Even though Half-Life 2 was originally launched back in 2004, the game still has a huge fan base. In fact, one of the most popular memes in the gaming community is related to Gaben Newell (CEO of Valve) who keeps teasing that Half-Life 3 is being developed but sadly, the game never comes out. With that being said, it should come as no surprise that a dedicated Half Life fan decided to map out Half-Life 2’s City 17.

City 17 Atlas Map

Ask any fan of the Half-Life franchise which city they loved the most and they will tell you that it is City 17. Considering the fact that Half-Life 2 was launched back in 2004 when games didn’t feature huge maps and great graphics, everyone was left in awe after visiting City 17.

Konstantinos Dimopoulos is game designer that has a PhD in urban planning and he used his expertise to create an atlas of City 17. Yes, you read that right! Konstantin Dimopoulos created a detailed map of Half-Life 2’s City 17 and everyone can check it out for free.

Game Designer Speaks Out

“City 17 is one o the most successful, coherent, economically designed, and memorable urban environments ever crafter” said the game designer. “The imposing alien tower, the Citadel, instantly sets the tone, and acts as a major landmark that keeps players both oriented and focused on their goal. Combined with a network of minor landmarks consisting of elements like the station square’s obelisk or the horse statue it makes the city easy to mentally map, and thus legible.” added Konstantinos Dimopoulos.

Virtual City

Konstantinos Dimopoulos is a huge fan of Half-Life 2, but that’s not the only game he loves playing. The game designer said that he is currently working on creating a virtual city map of Grand Theft Auto: Los Santos’s Map, but the atlas map is still in development.

Clash of Clans Town Hall 12 Download Available with Siege Workshop and Siege Machines

Clash of Clans fans should be getting ready for a major update because Town Hall 12 is ready to roll out. To make things even better, the developers are bundling the highly anticipated Town Hall 12 with a new Siege Workshop that produces Siege Machines which will make the combat aspect of the game more fun than ever!

Siege Workshop and Siege Machines

As their name clearly implies, Siege Machines are going to be built in the Siege Workshop. The cool thing about these new machines is that they can carry troops directly to an opponent’s Town Hall, thus improving combat and giving players incentive to create new defense strategies that revolve around their Town Halls.

  • Battle Blimp

The Siege Machine which will carry players is called the Battle Blimp and it requires players to have Town Hall 12 in order to build it. On the other hand, Town Hall 6 players can also receive Battle Blimps as a donation from their friends. Nonetheless, the Battel Blimp can also drop bombs which makes it a strong attack troop.

  • Wall Wrecker

Just like the Battle Blimp, the Wall Wrecker can be used to funnel troops to a specific location in the enemy’s base. However, the thing that makes this machine special is its ability to destroy walls with 10X damage. Additionally, the Wall Wrecker is able to destroy all type of buildings in its path and it can also be used as a defense tactic to shield troops.

Fun Gameplay

If there’s something that we all know and love about Clash of Clans, then it must be the fun gameplay that it offers. The game is complex and players need to devise clever strategies if they want to defeat their foes and collect their resources.

iOS 11.31 Electra Jailbreak

As previously mentioned, there is a dedicated community to jailbreaking iOS devices and Electra is an important member. iOS 12 Highlights – New Features with Privacy Changes

Yesterday, at the annual World Wide Developers Conference, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, talked about some new software features for iPhone, Mac, iPad and even for Apple Watch. The company made an announcement about the next iOS 12 software, which comes with a tool that will help users beat technology addiction and which will also see an improved performance.

Less worries about phone addiction

Apple is adding some new tools that will be extremely helpful for those who struggle with phone addiction. There will be an activity report that will keep track of how much time will a user spend on their mobile device. A new setting, “App Limits” will help people decide how many hours they should spend on their phone every day.

Also, there will be more control options for parents, which will allow them to make decisions regarding their children’s usage of the phone.

There will be a focus on augmented reality

A new AR tool called “Measure” was also presented at the conference. This will basically turn your phone into a ruler. There’s been also discussions about how Lego developers are using this technology for their apps.

However, the new iOS 12 will not be available until September, when Apple will announce the new iPhones at its press event.

Privacy changes

The Safari browser will be updated with new anti-tracking and privacy features. Apple also made a quite intriguing announcement. It seems that the “like” and “share” buttons, along with the comment fields from websites, will now be turned off automatically in Safari. This is to prevent users from being tracked on various sites that use cookies and website data to sell them ads.

More changes to come

There will be some updates to other features as well. FaceTime will soon allow users to support video chats with as many as 32 people. The camera in Messages will get some new effects. The next macOS will be named Mojave. New animals and even a ghost will be added to the Animoji feature – this is only for iPhone X users. But that’s not all. It looks like Apple is adding a new option to create an Animoji that looks just like you, which will be called Memoji! Doesn’t that sound like fun?

Red Dead Redemption 2 Comes with Timed Exclusive Content and New Changes

The special editions for Red Dead Redemption 2 were announced yesterday by Rockstar and it looks like that’s not all. The company also revealed that the game will get some time exclusives on PlayStation 4. Now, we all know that timed exclusivity has been one of the most unpleasant trends in the video game industry. This is what happens when a console manufacturer decides to pay a certain amount of money to a publisher, just in order to not allow content from other platforms to be available for a specific period of time.

Unfortunately, it seems that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be part of this as well. So far, there have been no details about what exactly this timed exclusive content will involve, but it’s definitely going to be quite irritating for Xbox players.

The reason why timed exclusive content is one of the most infuriating trends in gaming is basically because people pay the same money for a game, but the content they get depends on the platform they’re going to play the game on. And that’s totally crazy.

We all know what happened when Sony had an arrangement with Destiny. The developer of the PlayStation 4 paid Activision to keep all kinds of things away from Xbox gamers, such as maps, guns and even full strikes. Then Sony did the same with Destiny 2 and quite a few Call of Duty games. Destiny usually has a habit of holding a lot of content back from Xbox players. But not only Sony. Microsoft has done exactly the same for Dragon Age: Inquisition and some other games, including Call of Duty.

Much to our disappointment, it looks like Rockstar decided to follow in both Sony and Microsoft’s footsteps.
