Google Play Services 3.05 Download Available With Better Speed And Performance

Google is currently adding the finishing touches to Android O, but this doesn’t mean that the Android parent has forgot about its latest Android 8.1 Nougat operating system. The reason we are saying this is because Google has recently rolled out a new update for Google Play Services which improves the way third-party apps work on Android 8.1 Nougat.

The Importance of Google Play Services

The interesting thing about Google Play Services is that most Android fans have no idea what it does. In fact, there are hundreds of reports where people unknowingly deleted Google Play Services from their smartphones in order to free up storage space and then they are left wondering why third-party apps don’t function anymore.

Google Play Services takes care of many tasks, but the most important one out of them is the fact that it allows third-party apps to automatically update. Therefore, Google Play Services is an app that works in the “shadows” without anyone knowing about it. In addition, Google Play Services also takes care of vital Android functions such as account synchronization and remembering passwords.

New APK 3.05 Update

Android fans should be happy to know that Google Play Services has just received a new update. The update changes Google Play Services’ version number to “3.05” and it improves its overall performance. Even though the new update might not include any groundbreaking features or visual changes, it does come with a bunch of software tweaks that help Google Play Services run at faster speeds than usual.

Android Package Kit

The new update has yet to be rolled out OTA (over the air) and it’s available in the form of APK. This means that Android fans who wish to download it need to do it manually and to enable the “Unknown Sources” feature before.
