Leaks About the 2020 Jeep Pickup Truck Model

An image from JeepScramblerForum.com reveals information about the 2020 model of the Jeep Pickup truck.

The 2020 Jeep will be announced and presented at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday, November 28th. The testes on road and off road are for sure done already.

The size of the 2020 Jeep Pickup truck is estimated to be 6,500 lbs classifying it among the other midsize trucks.

Here is the list of features from the JeepScramblerForum.com picture:

  • First Jeep pickup in almost 30 years
  • Authentic Jeep design
  • Jeep off-road capability
  • Real truck capability
  • 15 class-exclusive innovations
  • Next generation Advanced Safety systems
  • Next generation infotainment systems including Apple Car Play and Android Auto

This leak of information does not say anything about the design but it does present some interesting features. From this list the 2020 Jeep Pickup truck is estimated to have the UConnect infotainment and new Ram’s safety systems. The safety systems such as a blind-spot monitoring, 360° Surround View Camera with Rear Cross Path should be added a trailer detection. The LaneSense Lane Departure Warning–Plus is also expected to be added.

The “15 class-exclusive innovations” part has to do with the UConnect and safety system but it also can mean that the truck will have a convertible roof or a soft top or it can mean that it has a solid front axle.

The options from the engine are a 285-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 and a 270-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder with mild hybrid assistance. It is assumed that both six-cylinders will come with a six-speed manual transmission and the four will have an exclusively eight-speed automatic. The TFLtruck team will transmit any new information from the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 28th this year.
