The latest update for WhatsApp changes the app’s version number to “2.18.210” and it can be downloaded through the beta program. With that being said, the update is currently exclusive to WhatsApp beta testers who want to get their hands on the latest features and software tweaks ahead of everyone else.

The update focuses on improving the groups feature that WhatsApp offers. Therefore, the new update makes allows admins to select a special option which makes it possible only for admins to send messages in that group. In addition, non-admins will still see the messages that appear in the group chat and respond to them in private by tapping on the “Message Admin” option.

The reason why WhatsApp’s developers have added this feature is quite simple, WhatsApp is looking to make it possible for brands to create groups and inform customers about upcoming products.
