Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4487011 and KB4487006 Fixes and Improvements

Windows 10 cumulative updates were recently released by Microsoft: KB4487029, KB4487011, KB4487006, KB4487021. These updates address non-security bugs that can be found in the operating system. The company wants to improve that aspect of the OS.

KB4487011 fixes and improvements

KB4487011 offers Four major fixes and improvements are offered by KB4487011, and here they are:

  1. Microsoft Access bug fix

Some apps which are using Microsoft Jet database as well as the Microsoft Access 95 file format were randomly stopping thanks to the Microsoft Access bug. However, this is fixed.

  1. IE Fails To Load Images bug fix

Problems related to loading images having a backlash when it comes to their relative source path were fixed by this update.

  1. Application not responding bug fix

Users reported this issue that arose when they would use the same input queue by its two threads.

  1. Device Compatability Issue Fix

This bug was existent in the evaluation of the compatibility status of Window’s entire ecosystem, and it is addressed by this fix.

KB4487011 Known Issues

At the moment of writing, no known issues were acknowledged by Microsoft in this update. We are still waiting for the tech giant to confirm any potential bugs.

KB4487006 Improvement & Fixes

Issues and device compatibility and Microsoft Access bug fix are not the only things that the update comes with. You can see below the additional ones:

  1. Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client bug

A major issue was solved thanks to KB4487006. It also existed int he previous build, and it consisted of a black screen that users would get at the log in int he client application Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

  1. win32kfull.sys reliability issue

There was a reliability issue with win32kfull.sys, but the update fixes it. Initially, it was introduced in KB4487026.
