Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus Vs. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro – Design, Technical Specs, Cameras

Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus is a relatively new smartphone the Southe Korean tech giant released in September this year. Also, the Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro came to light earlier this month. Both phones boast some similarities, but also some differences in terms of design and technical specs, as well as regarding the cameras. Let’s see which is better!

Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus Vs. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro – Design

Launched in September, earlier this month, the new Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus keeps the same design lines as the other smartphones of the Samsung J series. The new J6 Plus came out in red, black, and grey colors and showed nothing spectacular regarding its aspect. It’s nothing more than a standard Samsung J phone in this regard.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro boasts a higher screen-to-body ratio than Samsung J6 Plus and a notch. Coming out in various colors, gold, blue, black, red, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro seems a nice phone, regarding its design.

Samsung Galaxy J8 Plus comes with a 6-inch display at a resolution of 720×1480 pixels and an 18:5:9 aspect ratio. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro boasts a higher screen-to-body-ratio but has only a 5.84-inch screen with a res of 1080×2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ration. The Redmi 6 Pro also has a notch.

Under the hood, the Galaxy J6 Plus packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, a 1.4GHz quad-core chipset, 4 Gb RAM, and 64 Gb internal storage, while the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 2-GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU. Besides, the Chinese smartphone also boasts 4 Gb RAM and 64 Gb internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus Vs. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro – Cameras

The Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro packs a dual-camera system on its back with one sensor of 12 megapixels and another of 5 megapixels. On the front, it displays one 5-megapixel selfies camera with no LED-flash.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus comes with two rear cameras, one of 13 MP and another sensor of 5 MP. Better than Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, the J6 Plus smartphone packs an 8-megapixel front camera.

In conclusion, both smartphones are looking nice and perform excellently for two low-mid-range phones. But, the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus seems to outperform Redmi 6 Pro regarding camera and multimedia performance, while the Chinese smartphone packs a better chipset than the South Korean device.
