GTA 6 Possible Change of Name and Addition of South America

Grand Theft Auto is regarded as one of the most influential game in the history of the industry and its popularity, instead of declining, keeps on growing which each passing year. GTA 5 and especially GTA Online have both enjoyed a great success, mostly due to the fact that Rockstar puts a lot of effort in keeping these titles as fresh as possible by constantly releasing new downloadable content. However, this does not stop the numerous fans of the series from waiting impatiently for the new game, GTA 6. Although the rumors surrounding this title have started gathering pace, not much is known for certain, including its release date.

What is the most likely release date of GTA 6?

All rumors so far seem to agree that we will not see the new GTA in 2019, as the amount of required work simply cannot be done in such short space of time. According to a recent rumor, which originated from the YouTube channel The Know, the most probable release year of GTA 6 is either 2021 or 2022. However, this report also states that the new title will not necessarily be named GTA 6.

South America could be included in the new story

Apparently, a source close to GTA revealed that the next game of the series could have a different name, with Project Americas being a possibility. The title would see an addition of some locations in South America, which players could visit from the U.S. Moreover, the game itself could focus more on the drug business than other titles of the GTA series.

These, however, are only speculations, as Rockstar has not revealed any details regarding GTA 6. The fans of the series wait with great anticipation for any news, at the same time coming up with their own ideas, some of which are better than others. All we can do for now is to wait for the official news about GTA 6.
