Honor Magic 2 Is A Sliding Smartphone Without Bezels and With In-Display Fingerprint Sensor

Honor, a brand of Huawei, has introduced a new high-end smartphone, Honor Magic 2, which is quite fascinating in several aspects because it boasts some unique features among the modern-day smartphone market. Accordingly, Honor Magic 2 is a sliding smartphone without bezels and with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Honor Magic 2 boasts a 6.39-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,440 pixels. The particularity is that the screen occupies the entire front surface, so there is no notch. It is also packing an in-display fingerprint sensor, so it’s placed under the screen. The Honor Magic 2 smartphone is, therefore, a sliding smartphone, a unique feature in the modern-day smartphone market.

Under the hood, Honor magic 2 includes a Kirin 980 processor, either 6 or 8 GB RAM, 128 or 256 GB of storage space, a 3,400-mAh battery (40 W compatible charging), and a USB-C port.

Honor Magic 2 boasts three cameras on the back and three on the front

Another important aspect of this smartphone is the photo part. There are six sensors in total – three at the rear (16 megapixels f/1.8, 24 megapixels f/1.8, and 16 megapixels f/2.2) and three at the front (16 megapixels f/2.0, 2 megapixels f/2.4 and another 2 megapixels f/2.4). The sensors at the front are “hidden” under the display and can be accessed by sliding the smartphone. This feature is unique among the nowadays smartphones, and its goal is to ditch the notch which is losing popularity extremely fast.

The Honor Magic 2 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs 3,799 Yuan or about 547 US Dollars. The price boosts to 4,299 yen (or approximately $520) for the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Also, the Honor Marig 2 with 8GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage space costs 4,799 yen (about 690 USD).

Honor, which is a brand owned by Huawei, announced that his smartphone is only reserved for China, unfortunately. It would remain to be established if Honor will also release an Honor Magic 2 version for other markets.
