As our devices continue to become more powerful game developers are able to deliver better games. In the recent years virtual and augmented reality video games have started to gain traction as more people are able to play and enjoy them. Below you can find a short list of games that make use of these technologies in order to provide an impressive experience.

  1. Eclipse: Edge of Light

Eclipse: Edge of Light is an impressive visual experience that sends the player in a science-fiction world filled with wonders, betrayal and the remains of a long-lost ancient civilization that should offer a memorable experience and serve as a great starting point for those that want to try VR games. It is designed for Google’s Daydream VR headset.

This title was also designed for the Daydream VR headset. Prospective players can pick between two characters: Forge, a skilled gunslinger and Payne, a mage that seeks to annihilate the demons.  A rich progression system includes a variety of character skills, equipment and challenges. Hidden Temple is a popular point-and-click adventure game that sends powerful Indiana Jones vibes. Puzzle lovers are in for a treat since the game allows them to explore an ancient temple that is filled with hidden treasures and mind-bending challenges. The game works on devices that are able to support a 360 degrees view but a VR headset is recommended for the full experience.

This game is only available to Google Cardboard users but it delivers an impressive platforming experience. The game features 5 challenging levels and the puzzles are quite creative.

  1. Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go is the most popular AR title on the market. Those that want  to be a Pokemon trainer will be able to catch and train their dream team. Gyms and PvP battles are deliver a sizeable challenge and the game is available for free.
