The new 2020 BMW X3 M and BMW X4 M ( with their Competition variants included) can offer answers to a question nobody asked. Someone will be able to stop all of this, and one thing is sure: humanity no longer has a champion against the M-ification of all BMWs.
In the battles against AMG, we lost many good ones, and it was generally believed that the X6 M and X5 monsters had sated the appetite of BMW. However here we are looking at another tumble into performance SUV land.
Great speed improvements
A new S58 3-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine which produces 442 lb-ft of torque and 473 horsepower is featured by the X4 M and X3 M. Compared to the 503 horsepower at peak the Competition siblings received a slight increase. An 8-speed automatic and an M xDrive all-wheel-drive system help push all this power through, it is found in the current M5 as well.
In only 4.2 seconds the regular M sibling can sprint from 0 to 60, while it takes 4.1 seconds for Competition varietals to do so.
Excellent design available – this looks like a beast!
Terrifying enhancements in the M-ified X4 and X3 will be included in the visuals and aerodynamics of the car. In the high-gloss black accents of the Competition, it looks terrifying. The M Carbon exterior package is optional, but in case you were wondering it adds deadly carbon to the intakes, rear diffuser, the front “air blade,” and mirror caps.
You can either join the resistance or the side of evil depending on how you see all this. Maybe the power is not enough for you, or perhaps you would not know what to do with the one provided.
