Jailbreaking iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 Using Siri

If you are a jailbreaking fan, it means that you have been waiting for the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2. While its release is not too far from happening, more details on it are being shared on the internet. It is still in development change, but it did not stop a developer from the team to publish a teaser video on Reddit pf the jailbreak on their iPhone X. What might surprise you when you watch that video is the fact that Siri and Siri’s Shortcuts were used by the developer to initiate the Unc0ver jailbreak.

More details – understand this better

As you have read above, a video was posted by a developer from the Unc0ver jailbreak team on Reddit which shows how in order to jailbreak iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 he makes use of Siri. The Unc0ver app begins running through the vulnerabilities after the Siri Shortcuts hotword is said. The iPhone then restarts with Cydia installed after some time. One thing that you should keep in mind is the fact that this jailbreaking tool is still in the process of being tested, which means that it is recommendable that you wait for the public release. It will happen very soon.

Unfortunately, no A12 Bionic processor support will be included when the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 will be released, which means that using this tool you will not be able to jailbreak the new iPad Pro models, the iPhone XS Max, the iPhone XS or the iPhone XR. Maybe that will be added by the developers in the future.

If you are planning to install the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2, make sure that you do not upgrade your iOS device to Apple’s latest firmware update.
