Far Cry 7: New Details About the Game’s Story Surface Online

If you miss maneuvering around a character in a desolate place that’s teeming with mercenaries and monsters, well, it may help to know that Far Cry 7 is under development. Ubisoft is working on it, and the fall of 2025 represents the highly plausible release window of the highly-anticipated game.

Far Cry 7, or Project Blackbird, depending on how you wish to call it, will be built on the Snowdrop engine. Thanks to Insider Gaming, we can now learn a bit about the future game’s story. At this point, it all sounds pretty interesting, so let’s cut to the chase!

“Far Cry 7: Rise” will take place on the Kimsan island

The source mentioned above reveals that the next game of the Far Cry series will be called ‘Far Cry 7: Rise,’ and it will be set in a fictitious tropical island known as Kimsan, which will be placed in the “Yellow Sea next to Korea.”

The story in the next Far Cry game will be centered around the attempt to save the player’s kidnapped family. “Sons of Truth” represents the conspiracy group responsible for kidnapping a wealthy family in the game, and therefore, justice must be done.

During the campaign of the game, the player needs to save the entire family before time runs out.

Far Cry 7 will come out in the same year as GTA 6, which is another huge reason to get as ready for 2025 as possible if you’re a true gamer. In other words, you may consider buying a new next-gen console or upgrade your computer. However, at least for its first months after launch, GTA 6 won’t be available for PCs.
