Samsung Rose Gold Galaxy Watch Comes with Huge Battery and New Tizen OS

It is not the first time Samsung has ever leaked one of its wearables, and it is not the last time either. The leak shows a Rose Gold smartwatch measuring 42 mm, and it was posted on Samsung’ U.S. website. After showing up online this morning, CNET was the first one to report, and @subeticme saw it first.

After realizing its mistake, Samsung has removed the smartwatch from its website. Furthermore, neither the specs or the price of the Galaxy Watch were listed by Samsung. This leaked that showed on the page is a confirmation that we will no longer hear from a Gear but from a Galaxy Watch brand. It seems like it is just a change in name as the Rose Gold wearable looks almost the same as the Gear 3 Classic.

As mentioned before, Samsung repeats its mistake and leaks its smartwatch again. Before announcing the Gear Fit 2 Pro, it was already leaked by…guess who? Samsung, the creator of it. The smartwatch was featured on the South Korean’s Netherland, Spain, USA and Spain regional websites.

What rumors do we know about the Galaxy Watch?

  • A battery of 470mAh
  • Heart rate monitor incorporated
  • The Bixby voice-activated assistant
  • It swaps Wear OS for Samsung’s own Tizen software

About the reveal date

In case you did not know, Samsung will host a technological event on the 9th of August in Brooklyn, New York City, the United States of America which will be called Unpack. During this event, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be launched, and we also expect the South Korean company’s upcoming wearable, the Galaxy Watch (previously assumed to be Samsung Gear S4) to come along with the high-end flagship handset. From other reports, we also know that this might be the last time Samsung will ever reveal a Note model.

Clash of Clans and Candy Crush still Earn Huge Revenue

Clash of Clans and Candy Crush saga were launched years ago but remain competitive when it comes to the number of in-app-purchases. Both games generate sizeable revenues for Supercell and King as they remain highly popular.

Clash of Clans was first released in 2012 and while revenues have declined, it still manages to rack in more than $30 million per month on the iOS platform alone, being also available on the Android platform and Xbox Live.

Over 3 billion dollars have been spent in total in the world-famous strategy game ( several clones have been launched but none managed to rise to the popularity of the original). The game constantly remains in top 10 most downloaded apps and it seems that it will remain popular for a long time. According to one source, the games average around $1.4 million dollars per day since launch, remaining on the eight position on the App store as recently as June. Should we add droid income, total income comes up at around $5.5 billion.

King’s notorious hit Candy Crush has seen several incarnations, but the original remains a strong competitor. Released in 2014, the game has registered the most net income from Western developer in Q2 2018, with an average of $213 million. The income opportunity offered by King led to a surprise acquisition of the company by Activision-Blizzard, a move which will keep the company relevant for years to come. Candy Crush is a freemium title that can be installed and played for free, with power-ups and extra lives being available for real money. Some have argued that the ability to buy power-ups makes it play to win, but you can beat even challenging levels with enough luck and skill.

Fortnite, the hit free-to-play battle royale launched by Epic last year stole the scene, with over $2 million in income received daily. The micro-transactions offer users access to skins and emotes, granting no gameplay advantage.

Qualcomm Decides Which One Works Better, Snapdragon or Intel

Compared to the iPhone X, Galaxy S9 has a faster speed of downloading, and Samsung does not ditch a possibility to mock Apple in its new short ad. Samsung used the information Ookla provided regarding its “Speedtest Intelligence” report. This report also made a battle between Snapdragon 845’s X20 LTE modem and Qualcomm.

However, the opinions are because there is a continuous debate on whether Ookla’s Speedtest is accurate enough. The con people would say that their method is not even scientific because it is user-initiated. Contrary to that, the pro people suggest that the public would rather know how the phone would function when they have it in their hands and not under controlled conditions.

The latency and download and upload speeds of the Android phones running on the Snapdragon 845 are significantly outperforming other phones, according to Ookla’s report. The modems Intel pushes to mobile devices are Intel XMM7360 and XMM7840, and Qualcomm is focused on them. However, the only phones which use these modems are Apple’s iPhones.

If you have read before about the rivalry between Apple and Qualcomm you might already know what it is all about. US International Trade Commission was about to be convinced to block iPhones with Intel modems by Qualcomm’s hand due to potential patent infringement. As that did not work out, now they are trying to convince you that the iPhones with Intel LTE do not let you benefit from more innovative technology unless you get a Qualcomm phone. Unsurprisingly, T-Mobile and AT&T are also singled by Qualcomm.

The effect of this move might consist of Apple changing its tactic. Apple does not want to do anything anymore with Qualcomm and it sues it as their focus is base on the LTE modems.

New Android One Phones from Xiaomi – Mi A2 Lite and Mi A 2

Under the Mi A1 program, Android One, Google’s project which had good intentions but was stalled, received a significant boost from Xiaomi when it launched the first program’s device last year. After Mi A2 Lite and Mi A 2 were unveiled at a Spanish event today by the Chinese phone maker, the other two sequel devices joined Mi A1.

Are you surprise that Xiaomi came all the way to Spain? You should not be. After becoming a listed business, Xiaomi became keen on growing internationally. Spain is part of the countries in Europe where Xiaomi plans to make itself recognizable, and the two new A2 devices facilitate that. These two gadgets will be available for buying in more than 40 countries including Italy, Spain, France and eleven other European markets.

The Mi A2 Lite and Mi A2 are both running on Android one, can be charged via a USB-C port, so Xiaomi’s iOS-in Xiaomi’s iOS-inspired MIUI Android fork is still waiting to be introduced to other phones. The A2 is more like the premium version measuring 5.99 inches, being available with 128GB or 64GB storage and 6GB or 4GB RAM with a Snapdragon 660 processor. The dual rear cameras are 16 megapixels and 20 megapixels while the front one is 20 megapixels. Regarding the on-device storage, it ranges from 128GB, 64GB, and 32GB.

Mi A2 Lite is considered to be the budget option of the two, and it sports a lesser Snapdragon 625 processor with 64GB or 32GB of storage options and 4GB or 3GB RAM. This device measures less, 5.84 inches and some way weaker cameras.

The price for a Mi A2 is €249 to €279 ($291-$327) based on specs while the Mi A2 Lite is priced at €179 or €229 ($210 or $268),  based on storage selection and RAM.
