Google Maps for Web Download Available with New Improvements

With the growing importance of the Google Maps app on mobile devices, no matter if it is Android or iPhone, it is easy to forget that this app was first introduced on the web, where it is still an irreplaceable tool that helps us plan our trips. The web version of Google Maps has seen many new features added recently, and especially one of them would not look out of place on your smartphone or tablet.

With Google Maps you will avoid being late

The new feature, which most of us probably did not notice, will notify you when you have to leave, if you want to make sure that you are not late at your chosen destination. This option, even though it was just introduced on the web version of Google Maps, is something we have already known from the mobile version of the popular digital map.

According to Android Police, it is not known exactly when this feature became available. In January of this year, the notifications related to the Local Guides contributions have started being offered on the web version of Google Maps.

A second feature added to the Notifications toggles

A feature called “Time to leave” is now available in the Notifications toggles in the settings of Google Maps. All you need to do before using it is to simply activate it inside the side menu. You might also get a prompt letting you know about this new option.

Of course, you must be signed into Google Maps in order to use these features. Additionally, you have to agree that Google will have access to your location, otherwise these options will not work. After all, Google has to know where you are to help you travel effortlessly.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two Comes with Streaming Features and New Changes

With the announcements made by Sony and Microsoft regarding the inclusion of streaming on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two, many users started wondering if single-player offline gaming is in the future plans of these companies. The gaming giants have already developed their own streaming services, but we do not know yet how important this component of the next platforms will be.

Streaming is the main focus of developers

According to numerous experts, the major shift in the video gaming industry towards streaming may mean that single-player offline gaming will slowly become a thing of the past. The ever growing importance of the internet creates the need amongst developers to constantly improve and expand the online side of their services. This makes us wonder about the future of single-player offline gaming, especially with the increasing use of subscriptions.

Due to the fact that a large part of PS5 and Xbox’s customer base originates from developing countries, known for rather poor service, these two companies will keep the single-player offline games alive, at least for now. It looks like even with the rapid development of streaming, it will take much longer for us to see streaming-only games.

The benefits of streaming

It is predicted that streaming will generate major improvements in the gaming industry. According to Mashable, the processing power of a console will be freed up, and at the same time we will avoid large downloads while updating games.

Google may enter the gaming market

While we wonder about the future of single-player offline gaming, a new player may join the industry. Apparently, Google is preparing the launch of its own console and streaming service, named Yeti. The future could be very interesting with the arrival of Google’s console.

Best Choices of VPN for BitTorrent Users in 2018

If you are a user of a BitTorrent protocol to download music, movies or games, you need to be aware of the fact that having the best VPN is really a necessity these days. With an increasing focus of media companies on torrenting, the IPs of users are being collected by them, which might result in a legal notice. All those who do not use any VPN are at risk, and their identity could be compromised.

Luckily, VPN can keep you safe while you are using torrents. In this article, we will talk about the four best choices when it comes to VPN.

ExpressVPN

Based in the British Virgin Islands, this popular VPN offers a great speed, allowing you to download even large files in no time. The great thing about ExpressVPN is that it doesn’t keep any history of your connection and activity logs. This and a very strong encryption will make your torrenting completely safe. We should also mention that this VPN allows you to pick the server you want to connect to, giving you a choice of more than 2000 servers in 94 countries.

NordVPN

This VPN has even more servers than ExpressVPN, around 4300 of them, located around the world. All these servers are fully supporting unlimited bandwidth and speed. NordVPN provides double data encryption in addition to shared IPs: your data is not being converted into a code, but your IP is instead being replaced with their own IP.

ProtonVPN

Provided by ProtonVPN AG from Switzerland, this VPN does not record any logs, and its architecture prevents any hacker activities. ProtonVPN currently has over 200 servers in at least 28 places worldwide.

StrongVPN

Based in Texas, this VPN has more than 650 servers located in 26 countries. It provides a very high level of security, but its users love StrongVPN for something else: it is able to bypass Netflix US’s restriction.
