Nintendo Classic Mini vs. Sega Mega Drive: Which One Should You Choose?

If you did not live under a rock for the past year, you’ve seen that we sort of went back to the 1990s. Pokemon is again a very popular thing (and it’s now one of the biggest games of the market), so Nintendo announced that it wants to retrieve its old Nintendo Entertainment System console. We’ve also heard that the Sega Mega Drive wants to make an epic comeback. We all know what it’s like when Nostalgia hits us. Many people grew up with these games and they started to use emulators for both of the platforms, iOS and Android. So it’s understandable why both Nintendo and Sega wanted to make money out of it.

The best thing is the price: the price is fair with these ones. They’re cheap enough to buy them as a gift for someone else. We’ve written this article to help you choose between these two.

In terms of the console

Both of them are actually mini versions of the original ones. However, they’re quite different from each other. It’s true, both have to feature onboard storage to store all the included games, but the one from Nintendo cannot accept old NES cartridges.

However, when it comes to Sega Mega Drive, it accepts old Mega Drive and Genesis cartridges.

In terms of the controller

They’re also different in terms of controller technology – Nintendo Classic Mini comes with one controller, and Sega Mega Drive comes with two controllers.

In terms of the compatibility

In this category, we think Nintendo Classic Mini wins. It can be plugged directly into modern TVs, as it comes with an HDMI cable (that’s included in the price, as well).

Sega Mega Drive can only connect to a TV through AV cables, and that means that if you want to connect it to a modern HD TV, that just doesn’t work with an old AV connection, you won’t be able to do it, unless you want to buy a separate AV-to-HDMI adapter.

The Sega Mega Drive will hit the market in October, and its price will be at £49.99.

If you don’t want to waste your date you will be glad to hear that both browsers have data saver functions. Once you turn it on, these browsers will send you compressed versions of the pages that you want to access.

Both browsers allow you to change the text sizes once you access a web page. In UC Browser you can use the volume buttons to scroll down a page, and you can also use a typing assistant for the phrases that you use often. Meanwhile, you can’t customize the mobile version of Google Chrome.

If we compare the download manager, UC browser appears to be the winner. Both browsers allow you to pause and resume your download task, but UC also lets you choose where to save the downloaded files. You can also choose the maximum number of files that should be downloaded at a time.

Ready for a Hot Fight: Maplestory 2’s Fire Dragon Guide

Maple Story was one of the biggest MMOs of the 2000s despite the fact that it lacked raids. Now, its direct sequel, Maplestory 2, has finally infused that much-needed element into the game. Hot off the dev’s studio is the Fire Dragon. The name pretty much speaks for itself, so without further ado, here are all the essential tips to help you take down this boss and earn yourself some major Maplestory 2 mesos.

Before the Big Fight

Before you take on the vehement Fire Dragon, there are a few things you should take care of. First would be the kind of pet you’ll bring along. For this fight, it’s recommended that you bring one that does auto potions for you just so that you won’t have to. Also, make sure that your settings are lag-free, as a single second or millisecond can spell absolute disaster. Finally, keep your priest’s positions in mind so you’ll know exactly where to go in case you find yourself in a tight spot.

All About Dodging

Now that you’re all prepped up for battle, it’s onto the raid proper. For the first part, there are ledges you can use in order to dodge some of Fire Dragon’s moves. This is especially true if he is after you. Other than being a good way to evade its attacks, you can also step on the blue parts in order to get your burn healed.

For the most part, the blazing bad guy will be using a dashing skill. To ensure you won’t get hit, just make sure that you keep the camera on him, and that you don’t stay in front of him.

Later on, he’ll use a tail strike. To dodge this nasty attack, you can use the ledge (yet again), run until he can no longer reach you, or even grab onto him. Eventually, he’ll use a large-radius attack thrice; it’s fairly easy to dodge, so it’s really nothing to worry about.

Taking a Deep Breath

Another attack you should be extra wary of is his rapid-fire breath. He’ll be doing it in quick succession, so be careful not to get hit. As always, you can always go to the ledge. Warning: Be careful when approaching him after the breath attack, as the leftover flames can really do damage.

Once his HP gets lower, he’ll be using these attacks in combination. Take note that they’re going to be harder to avoid since there won’t be a discernible pattern, but you’ve already seen them before so it wouldn’t be too much of a problem avoiding them. Do note, however, that he’ll add more skills to the mix as his HP goes even lower.

Onto the Next Part

Aside from the attack combo, you should also watch out for his AOE stun attack. Thankfully, he doesn’t attack right after, so in case you get hit you won’t have to worry about an immediate follow-up. If you want to make the most of your time while avoiding this move, you can jump off the ledge. Finally, for the last part of the first stage, he’ll be shooting a laser. It’s mostly one-shot if you’re not a tank, so you should dodge it by going to the box or, once again, jumping to the ledge.

Once you manage to deplete the Fire Dragon’s HP down to 20 million, the second part will commence. Other than the fire breath and fireballs you won’t be able to dodge (so we hope your priest has you covered), he’ll be using the same moves he did before—which should already be easy enough for you.
