iOS 13 Concept Presents Many Improvements For iPhone and iPad Users

Apple’s mobile operating system is upgraded every year with a significant update, usually in autumn. iOS 12 for iPhone and iPad has just rolled out, practically, but iOS 13 is already in the news. Well, at least an exciting iOS 13 concept teaser emerged online, promising some new and useful functions for Apple’s smartphones and tablets.

Despite how many improvements Apple makes with its operating system for mobiles, iPhone and iPad users still find plenty of room for improvement. Some of them even go as far as to create entire, well-formulated concepts on their own. So did the YouTuber Jacob Rendina who thinks ahead for Apple and presented his own iOS 13 concept.

iOS 13 Concept Presents Many Improvements For iPhone and iPad Users

As Jacob Rendina thought, iPad users, in particular, must benefit from iOS 13 more than iPhone users, so Apple would do well to take an example. After all, the new iPad Pro 2018 models are obviously intended to be alternatives to computers. In Rendina’s iOS 13 concept, iOS 13 must bring iPad Pro-specific features, including a message center similar to what we have on MacBooks but also the acceptance of third-party products compatible with USB-C port.

Besides, iOS 13 concept might come with improved security, including the well-known Touch ID, Face ID, and password access. Furthermore, optimized multitasking with the option to open apps in a separate window is wanted in the next year’s iOS version. As with the Mac, floating windows make multitasking more flexible.

Also, Rendina’s iOS 13 concept imagines a split screen option, a long sought-after feature in Apple’s mobile operating system. Besides, iOS 13 should come out with a dark theme for the iPhone and iPad, which is another sought-after feature by iOS fans. And we might indeed see the dark mode in iOS 13 as Apple implemented it this year in macOS Mojave.

To see everything the new iOS 13 concept imagines for the next year’s iOS version, we leave you Jacob Rendina’s video below.

Jailbreakers Made It Too Easy for Apple – What Has Apple Stole from Them

Thanks to the stability improvements, iOS has now the best security tools, lots of app and services to enjoy and a friendly user interface. Each update comes with better things that make the experience the best one for iPhone users. However, you need to keep in mind that it’s not all thanks to Apple’s genius, as most of the features come from tweaks made by the jailbreak community.

You get a camera shortcut on the lock screen, you get to quick replay to messages directly from notifications, you get screen recording support – and not only, but these also are just the tip of the iceberg and were possible even before Apple got them for their operating system.

We all remember how it was when iOS first made its appearance – it just had a few options for customization, but people from the jailbreak community figured out how to improve the software from Apple, and now it’s easier for more technical users to do many things – things that Apple couldn’t even imagine.

The control center

It was first introduced in iOS 7, and it’s that thing that allows you to swipe up (from the bottom of the screen initially, now it’s a swipe down from the top-right of the screen if you have Face ID). Here is where you find the Airplane Mode Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Do Not Disturb and Portrait Orientation Lock.

Jailbreak versions had some features like these, and it was long before the iOS 7 was released. SBSettings came together with the customizable toggles, things that will later be seen in iOS, too. For iOS 5 and above, you can get the SBSettings’ controls for the swipe-down Notification Center. Before you could do this, you had to swipe left or right to be able to open the toggles.

New MacBook Pro Models to Incorporate AMD Radeon Vega 16 and Vega 20 Graphics Cards

During its last event of 2018, where it presented the new MacBook Air, Mac mini, as well as the iPad Pro 2018 model, Apple also unveiled the new graphics configurations for the 15-inch MacBook Pro. For the first time in a long time, Apple incorporates an AMD graphics cards, more specifically the Radeon Pro Vega 16 and Vega 20.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro variants with Radeon Pro Vega 16 and Pro Vega 20 graphics cards would come out somewhen in November. These new graphics configurations for the Apple MacBook Pro boast considerable improvements in performance, in comparison with the current versions. According to the benchmark tests, the new graphics cards offer a 60% increase in speed, if we were to compare them with the current Radeon Pro 560X, that we find in the top-end configurations.

As reported by AMD, the Vega 16 and Vega 20 are just the “starting units of the next generation of Vega graphics cards.” They both boast the Rapid Packed Math feature which speeds up the GPU, accelerating the processes and implying a lower resources consumption.

The second feature that gives us more speed, is the HBM2 memory. The performance is higher than the previous GDDR5, which we find in other more common graphics cards. The gain is produced by having more bandwidth compared to their predecessors. But at the same time, it consumes less energy. Finally, HBM2 is housed within the GPU and, therefore, takes up less space.

According to some rumors, the Vega 20 will boast the first GPU to run on 7-nanometer technology in the world. On the other hand, the desktop version of the Vega 20 will come with either 16GB to 32GB of HBM2 but requires between 150 and 300 watts, so it is unlikely that we will see this model running on a laptop.

Also, as rumored, the new version of MacBook Pro would come out on November 14th.

Apple Asked Developers To Support iPhone XS Max, iPad Pro 3, and iOS 12.1 by March 2019

During the recent Apple event, the giant tech company revealed its new iPad Pro 2018 model, dubbed as iPad Pro 3, along with the new iOS 12.1 version. Besides presenting the device’s new design with no Home Button, Apple also asked developers to support iPhone XS Max, iPad Pro 3, and the new iOS 12.1 by March 2019.

According to the Apple devs web page, the developers must build new apps with the iOS 21.1 SDK by March 2019, thus, supporting the new Apple devices, including iPad Pro 3 and iPhone XS Max, along with the newly released iOS 12.1. The devs must focus on the new iPad design which lacks a home button, so the new apps must center on that, leaving thin extra space at the bottom of the screen to allow users to use gestures to navigate the new tablet.

However, there are more new features the developers must focus upon, including the new Apple Pencil functions and the higher screen-to-body-ratios the new iPhone XS Max and iPad Pro 3 boast.

Apple also asked developers to concentrate on the other new features both iPhone XS Max and iPad Pro 3 boast, besides the new functions of the iOS 12.1 version. Accordingly, the devs must also create apps with the new features of the Apple Pencil in mind but also with a focus on the new functionality of the iPad Pro 3 which allows users to connect external hardware via USB-C.

When researching on the new Apple’s developers guidelines referring to the new devices such as iPhone XS Max and iPad Pro 3, besides iOS 12.1, surprisingly, there is nothing about the new 11-inch iPad Pro which is, in reality, featuring an entirely new aspect ratio when compared to the previous iPad Pro models and even to the new iPad Pro 3.

Cydia Impactor 0.9.51 Comes Out With iOS 12.1 Compatibility

For all the fans of the fabulous world of iPhone customization, Cydia Impactor updated to version 0.9.51 to be compatible with iOS 12.1 and solve secondary load problems. The new Cydia Impactor 0.9.51 is now available for download, mainly for those users interested in downloading third-party applications on iPhone and iPad.

This update with iOS 12.1 compatibility patches arrives right after the Apple rolled out its new iOS 12.1 at the last Apple event of the year, held on October 30th. However, the release of this new version of Cydia is no reason to celebrate, but it might pave the way to an iOS 12.1 jailbreak solution, even though it would take a lot for it to come out.

While most fans of iPhone customization solutions use Cydia Impactor, there is another sector of users who use it for the download of third-party applications, used in both Windows and Mac systems. For the benefit of all users of the tool, this latest update allows Apple users to run the latest firmware version to use Cydia Impactor without problems.

Cydia Impactor 0.9.51 comes with iOS 12.1 compatibility and full support for new Apple iPhone and iPad devices

The new Cydia Impactor 0.9.51 offers full support for all the latest models of iPhone, iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, and best of all, it is also compatible with the newest version of the firmware, the iOS 12.1, recently released by Apple.

Jay Freeman, better known as “saurik,” has updated this tool, based on the preliminary releases of iOS 12.1, and the fast rollout of the Cydia Impactor 0.9.51 also indicates that Apple has not changed anything critical with this new iOS 12.1.

Basically, Cydia Impactor is a version that guarantees compatibility with iOS 12.1, in addition to the functionality of downloading IPA files on the iPhone or iPad, obtaining the download and installation of applications without the need to use the official iOS App Store. And regarding the iPhone customization, it allows us to install the Electra IPA, to unlock the device, although, for the moment, there is no indication of any new tool compatible with iOS 12.1.
