December 1st will mark the World Finals for the Clash Royale League held in Tokyo

Supercell, the mobile game giant, recently announced that the Clash Royale League World Finals will be held in Tokyo on the 1st of December. That is when this Finnish company will grant a lucky team the lion’s share of the incredible one million dollars prize pool.

Supercell, based in Helsinki, ties its hopes to the increase of the mobile game esports industry as it will more than likely take off. Of course, the hopes are also linked to the raised awareness of the competitive play around Clash Royale. This game consists of a multiplayer online battle arena style title which takes place in real time.

Clash Royale is a major contributor to the amazing $2 billion revenue gathered by Supercell on an annual basis. Its role as a major player in today’s mobile gaming industry is underlined by Newzoo’s – the research firm – predictions that it can draw $70 billion this year alone. That is exactly why Supercell really hopes esports can act as some sort of boost which will allow it to remain a top earner.

Makuhari Messe will be the venue for the finals. This place is a convention center which hosts the largest gaming and entertainment events in Japan. During the event – which will take place all day – you will be able of observing the final tournament for what was the inaugural season of the Clash Royale League (or CRL).

In this event, the top team from each region which was part of the League will oppose the top team from Japan until only one remains standing at the end. That team will receive the Golden Crown Trophy which stands for the first title of Clash Royale League World Champion. Chris Cho, the game’s commissioner said that “the Clash Royale League is such a global competition, and after hosting the World Finals for our individual competition last year in London, we can’t wait to bring CRL World Finals to our fans on the other side of the world in Japan”.

Clash Royale League: Live Competition Is a Better Competition?

We’ve all heard about the previous Clash Royale competitions, but what do we know about the fall season of the Clash Royale League? We know that it’s much more professional and that even the broadcast is different.

There won’t be any individual players who suddenly came into the tops, but there will be teams. The thing is that Supercell even changed how the teams are choosing players.

This has become a tradition in esports – an organization makes their exploration and they look for the best player. There’s nothing changed in the case of the Clash Royale League, maybe except of a process that’s more clear.

An official event happened

March 2018 was the beginning of the Clash Royale League Challenge and it has one pretty defined goal: to find the best players in the world. Few hundreds were invited to a Combine, where an official event happened, just like in the NFL.  Here is where they got the best chance to see players in action. There were six days in which 25 million people entered the challenge. The goal was to get 20 wins before getting three loses. If you did this, you could advance. The catch was that, as you advanced, you had to deal with better players. There were 113 countries, and only 7000 players got to the next stage.

The whole idea of this event was for players to interact with the representatives from the esports teams to show them their unique skills. They wanted to give the teams the opportunity to choose their players from a live competition scene, not just the online one. Can you imagine the pressure from the live competition? It may be harsh, but it’s a good way to make sure they’ll get into the organization.

Clash Royale League Update Set to Launch This Week

Clash Royale League has its first competition this week. More than 40 teams from all over the world are hoping to get their hands on the grand prize of one million dollars. Clash Royale wants to demonstrate that future e-sports could be based on mobile gaming.

Mobile gaming – the future

Consoles and PCs are the workhorses of today’s gaming, but the Vice President of eSports from Madison Square Garden is trying to convince people otherwise. He is convinced that there’s no better time than now to offer mobile gaming the recognition he thinks it deserves.

There’s no wonder smartphone gaming has become a thing. Almost two billion smartphones now exist worldwide and this allows users to not only make phone calls, browse the web or scroll down their favorite social media app, but also play games.

NRG’s eSports president, Brett Lauren, says there’s no game like Clash Royale. And he’s very happy that it’s only available on mobile devices. He also said that this is great, because people can play this game wherever they feel like it.

Chief Pat believes that what makes this game so enjoyable in the first place is its ability to be with you everywhere you go. This makes for very convenient gameplay and ease of access, whether you’re in the mood for some serious competitive gaming or just kill some time.

How Clash Royale became the hit that it is today

This game is one that’s based on another well-known title, which is Clash of Clans. Many gamers switched seamlessly from the old game to this one, thanks to the similarities between the two games.

ESports are bound to have an audience on mobile from now on, especially because about 50% of the videos watched in the USA today happen on smartphones or tablets. Adding Clash Royale to the mobile platform, a game with millions of fans, will sure be a hit among gamers worldwide.
