Clash of Clans vs. Clash Royale – Complex Strategies and New Fixes

Clash of Clans and Clash Royale are fairly similar games because they are made by the same developer, but there are some features that make one better than the other. Obviously, there will be many people who compare Clash of Clans with Clash Royale since the two games share the same art style and fun gameplay, but today we are going to find out which one is actually better.

Community Speaks Out

The first thing we checked out when trying to find out which game is better was to ask the gaming community. All comments sounded the same because everyone talked about how they got hooked to Clash of Clans and played lots of hours, but then quickly changed to Clash Royale after finding out what it has to offer.

Therefore, most gamers who tried both games are saying that Clash Royale has the upper hand, especially since a full base can be created quickly in Clash of Clans and players don’t have anything else to do.

Complex Strategies

The most important reason why Clash Royale has an edge over Clash of Clans is because Clash Royale’s gameplay is a little bit more complex. Clash Royale is basically a card game and there are endless card combinations that players can think of in order to defeat their enemies. Not just that but coming up with new combat strategies will make the difference between average players and great players.

Rest Time

The biggest issue that Clash of Clans has is that it’s been designed to keep players online nonstop. This might be fun at first, but Clash of Clans gets too time consuming and no one likes that. On the other hand, Clash Royale gives players somewhere around four to six hours of rest time while chests are being unlocked.

Clash Royale Balance Update Download Available with Mega Knight and Spear Goblins

New changes coming on 4th of June

The Clash Royale team has recently made an announcement about the game’s latest balance change that will go live on June 4. In a post that was published on Friday, Supercell revealed which of the troops will get nerfs and which will get buffs. On the post published on Reddit yesterday, they explained that the way they approach the card balance is based on the community feedback, stats and playtesting. And it looks like we can also expect monthly balance updates!

Let’s take a look below at every card that will be affected by these balance changes. We’ll talk about Mega Knight, Spear Goblins, Wizard and much more!

  • Spear Goblins – Nerf and Buff

Attacks will occur every 1.7 seconds because the Hit Speed will be slower: 1.2 seconds. There’s going to be a damage increase of 34% added to the troops and the first attack will be slower than before.

  • Royal Ghost – Nerf

The invisibility delay of this troop will be increased from 1.6 seconds to 1.2 seconds. Also, from now on towers will get one extra shot on him before he disappears.

  • Goblin Hut – Nerf

Because each hit from a single Goblin will be stronger, the total number of spawns will be reduced from 12 to 10. The lifetime of the building will be shortened by 10 seconds, from 60 to 50 seconds.

  • Barbarians – Buff

The Hit Speed of these troops will get a small increase from 1.5 seconds to 1.4 seconds.

  • Mega Knight – Nerf and Buff

The Area Damage will see a reduction of 7.5% and the troop will get a Jump/Spawn Damage increase by 23%, so he will be able to land with great force once again. This guy is also going to use a new brand of mustache wax!

  • Battle Ram – Nerf

They can now be knocked back by the Barbarian Barrel and The Log troops.

  • Wizard – Buff

This new update brings an increase of 2% to the Area Damage, while the Area Damage radius will get an increase of 25%.

  • Ice Golem – Nerf

One of the strongest defensive troops in the game will see a reduction of his Hitpoints by 5%.

  • Valkyrie – Buff

She can now take a hit from most troops since her Hitpoints increased by 7% and her first attack got faster.

Clash Royale June 2018 Major Update Download Available – New Cards, Troops, Emotes and Clan Wars Fixes

Supercell announced that Clash Royale is scheduled to receive a major update on June 5th, 2018. The game developer has made it a tradition to release massive updates during summer time and to make things even better, the new Clash Royale update will focus on adding more features, gameplay changes and to balance classes. With that being said, let’s check out what are the most important changes that the new update will bring.

Four New Cards

Even though Supercell doesn’t want to unveil any important details about the upcoming update, the Clash Royale community has strong reason to believe that four new cards are going to be introduced in June. In addition, dataminers managed to find some hints which point towards these new cards.

Clan War

Talking about balancing the game, Supercell is expected to add some important software tweaks to the Clan Wars game inside Clash Royale. The last time Clan Wars received an update was back in April and rumor has it that the game developer is looking to fix tie games and to give players more incentive to mix in different troops in order to create a diverse war deck.

Funny Emotes

If we take a look at what the Clash Royale community has to say about emotes, we will see that they are both hated and loved. Some people love them because they make it easier to express themselves while others hate emojis because trolls spam them in the chat and this can get annoying. Nonetheless, Supercell wants to expand the range of emojis Clash Royale offers and fans should be ready to see more funny emojis in the summer.

New Troops

Last but not least, a previously leaked picture showed that Supercell plans to introduce a new Elite Archer troop. The special thing about this troop is that it uses a crossbow, and this might make it more powerful than the normal Archer class that we all know and love.

Clash Royale vs. Hearthstone – A Battle Between the World’s Best Mobile Card Games

Clash Royale is one of the most popular mobile games in world with millions of daily active players. However, the game’s popularity started dwindling when the folks at Blizzard decided to release a mobile version of Hearthstone. The two games are competing in the same bracket being card games and today we are going to find out which one is worth our time the most.

Complex Strategies

The reason why there are so many people playing card games is that they get to create complex strategizes and use them to defeat their foes. Clash Royale and Hearthstone feature a wide range of cards that synergize with each other and players can use them to counter-attack and dismantle their opponent’s moves.

While the two games share the same combat style, we have to give it to Hearthstone when it comes to complex strategies. The game has hundreds of cool cards that have special abilities such as Taunt (forces all enemies to attack the card) and Death Rattle (special ability when the card is destroyed).

Choosing a Class

One of the coolest things about Clash Royale is the fact that the game doesn’t limit players to a single role. Players can use their imagination to create strategies and roles that they enjoy. On the other hand, Hearthstone gives players the ability to choose one of the following roles: Shaman, Warlock, Hunter, Mage, Druid, Rogue, Paladin and Warrior.

Fun Gameplay

Truth be told, both games are super fun to play. Hearthstone features a turn-based gameplay that relies on mana crystals, while Clash Role is focused on filling up Elixirs. However, Clash Royale gets the upper hand when it comes to gameplay because it is more fast-paced and also because “anything goes”.

Final Words

From the looks of it, Hearthstone is the more polished game that features better lore and card designs. However, Clash Royale excels when it comes to gameplay and players are the ones who need to choose between fun combat or beautiful design and complex strategies.
