Telegram vs. Discord – Find The App That Matches Your Messaging Needs

Telegram and Discord are two messaging apps that have created a name for themselves, and they have become more and more popular in the past years. These apps make communication simpler, and they come with all sorts of tools and features.

The app for gamers

Discord is usually preferred by gamers, since this VoIP app was designed specifically for them. This makes it a lot easier to communicate with numerous other gamers. You can create channels, where an unlimited number of members can chat. Additionally, the person who owns the channel can use it for announcements.

When it comes to privacy, it appears that there have been some issues when it comes to discord. Their policy doesn’t seem to respect the users’ data as it should. A big advantage for Discord is that you can use screen sharing. This is great for gaming, but it works for other purposes as well.

Smart messaging app

Many users have begun to switch to Telegram, and that is because this app continues to improve itself. Telegram groups can hold up to 200 members, and all group members are able to add another member. Even when you reach 200 members, that is not the limit. Once you hit 200, you have the option to transform the group into a supergroup which allows you to add 100,000.

Telegram is also very secure. In fact, Russia doesn’t allow Telegram there because the developers refused to share the users’ data with the government. This app also allows you to delete any of the messages sent by you, as long as you do it within 48 hours. Telegram comes with a 1.5 GB limit when it comes to file transfers and you can send anything from GIFs, video messages and stickers, to the traditional files.
