Galaxy A10 Would Be Samsung’s First Device With UD Fingerprint Sensor

All the rumors indicate that Samsung is sticking to its initial plans to add new, modern features to its mid-range Galaxy A series. Now, according to a Chinese leaker, Galaxy A10 would be Samsung’s first device with UD fingerprint sensor. The Chinese leaker shared the information on his Twitter page using the following words: “Galaxy A10, UDFS.”

Besides, the same Chinese tech buff also revealed that the giant South Korean tech company is working on a Samsung Galaxy A model that would boast the Snapdragon 845 SoC. Most likely, he was talking about the upcoming Galaxy A10 model.

As the recently launched Samsung Galaxy A8s is packing a Snapdragon 710 SoC, the future Galaxy A10 device would be the most suitable upcoming Samsung smartphone to boast both a Snapdragon 845 chipset and a UD fingerprint sensor (in-display fingerprint reader) which is a feat already implemented on other devices from different manufacturers.

Samsung is expected to roll out its Galaxy A10 model in early January in 2019. However, if the South Korean tech giant is missing that window, the next one would be during the MWC 2019 in Barcelona. However, that’s not likely at all since before the MWC 2019 Samsung plans to announce its anniversary Galaxy S10 series.

Thus, most probably, the Samsung Galaxy A10 with UD fingerprint sensor and Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood would come out in January, as initially rumored. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A10 would also boast 6 Gb of RAM, according to some rumors.

Besides the Galaxy A10 smartphone, in early January, Samsung might also launch its budget Galaxy M series as a continuation of the Galaxy J lineup which Samsung might discontinue in 2019. At least, that’s what some South Korean tech portals reported recently. According to them, Samsung is working on a new budget series which might launch in early-2019 under the brand of Galaxy M series.
