WWDC19 – Here Are The Hottest Announcements, So Far

Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference, WWDC19, has managed to surprise lots of fans as a large number of announcements were offered. Below you can find a selection of the most interesting ones.

Apple TV

Those who opt for Apple TV Plus will have the option to watch a remarkable show called For All Mankind. The show offers an interesting take on alternate history as it attempts to explore what would have happened if the Soviets managed to be the first on the surface of the moon. The TVOS will offer multiuser support. Those who have an Xbox One or DualShock 4 controller will be supported natively by the device.

The new MacBook Pro and Apple Pro Display XDR

The Mac Pro has received a major update, and the new specs are quite impressive. For $5,999 users will enjoy an eight-core Intel Xeon W clocked at 3.5 GHz, 32GB of RAM, an AMD Radeon Pro 850X and an SSD with a capacity of 256GBs.

The Pro Display XDR offers an impressive 32-inch display with a resolution of 6,016×3,384, true 10-bit capabilities, and a polarizer which facilitates select viewing angles. If you opt for the monitor, priced at $5,000, you will have to pay an extra 1,000 for the stand.

MacOS Catalina

As expected, MacOS Catalina will drop iTunes in favor of several replacements apps. A new app called Sidecar will allow users to use an iPad as a secondary display. A great accessibility feature comes in the form of assistive voice control. The improved Project Catalyst will allow developers to port iPad apps to MacOS without difficulties.

iPadOS

Apple has decided to split the OS for portable devices, and iPads will receive a dedicated version in the form of iPads. The Files app has been revamped and offers a new feature. Other improvements were also announced.

iOS 13

The Dark Mode was confirmed, and many native apps will receive support for the new feature. Siri will gain the ability to read and answer text messages when you are using the AirPods. The popular vocal assistant will also receive a new voice which sounds more natural.
